Mercury Chocolates & Gelateria — Restaurant in Cobourg

Mixed feelings.. store was easy to find, with the host very easy-going and knowledgeable on products. All products were nicely displayed and the store was very clean. We purchased three individual dark chocolates ( only dark was being sold) at $1.75 each. Honestly..... we're excited to try them however we're disappointed in the overall taste particularly in comparison to the price. We have purchased other handmade custom chocolate which were less expensive with a bolder richer flavour . We could be wrong but I didn't see any incentive for individuals to purchase chocolates in larger amounts. It seems that the price increases as you purchase more items. Perhaps we are mistaken in that but that was our understanding from the pidyed menu We cannot speak to any of the other products as we did not purchase the pasta but it looked nice. We wish you continued...

You were angry you had to unlock the door and annoyed we were in your store. I went to the store beside you and we were all laughing and joking...and walked around the market and met great people there. It was a shame I went to your store and dealt with your rolling eyes a evil looks after enjoying the morning. I didn't mind paying for the overpriced products until yesterday. And I can see you are still being rude. Sometimes it's best to leave a situation you don't like anymore. Think that time has come for you. Drove 15 mins out of our way to visit this store. The guy barley wanted to talk to us, we left and he started to close up, we figured we were in the way of his leaving for the day - half hour before closing. Asked about the Gelato he didn't really answer said it was complicated, he half huffed at one of our questions. No denying he didn't want us in there. Gelato was ok, chocolates were amazing. We either didn't fit his ideal costomer and but enough or he was just in a mood, either way, all the best, won't be seeing us again.

Edit: nothing about us demanded a servant , we are the most easy going, friendly, and respectful people going. We went into that store excited to be there and were greeted with nothing but annoyance. We were interested in the products and how they are...
