Edit from owners response: we threw out two full soft serve ice creams due to poor quality not due to the way we were treated. But since you wanted to mention that as well, our 2 year old attempted to leave the store and we grabbed him within 5 seconds. The man repeatedly said âthatâs a bad place to beâ so many times that the other woman working had to tell him âokay thatâs enoughâ with a deep sigh.
The only poorly behaved child in that place is the guy running it. Iâve travelled to 57 countries, dined in hundreds of cafes, and this is on my list of worst cafes. High sugar, low quality & low respect.
Original review:
We ordered two strawberry soft serve ice-creams which were $7.50 each. We were surprised when the included price of strawberry was well past any edible date and the chocolate syrup tasted off as well. Both cups went in the garbage after a couple of bites. Also want to mention an unkind man working at the cash. Would avoid this place if youâre looking for good service, well priced and delicious...
Read moreIf you are looking for a good cafe please avoid this place. After an almost 20 min wait when the place was almost empty, my sons were given dated soft served ice cream, with almost rotten strawberries. Unfortunately, the experience was made worse by the man serving it, who yelled several times at my two year sold son who was by the door. We clearly werenât the only ones thinking this behaviour was unnecessary: a woman working there was telling him to please calm down as he was only a small child who was not misbehaving and rather just standing there.
Response to ownerâs comment: I only review when I have a very poor experience. Fortunately most of my experiences nationally and internationally are positive. As someone who spends time with lots of children, hearing âpoorly behaved childâ is not an accurate description of this situation. My child did not affect anything or anyone.
This cafe is clearly not meant for families with children or anyone looking to eat / drink...
Read moreWhile I was in town visiting a friend, we decided to grab a drink and something to eat for The Pink Cafe. We were welcomed by a gentleman who quickly took our drink order then we sat down and looked at the menu. I will say the menu is very vague and doesnât have much of a description. The prices are more than the prices posted online which we had looked at prior to arriving. I ordered a waffle and my friend ordered a crepe. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed our Iced Caramel Lattes. I thought they gave a generous portion for the price. Although when it came to food I was disappointed. My waffle was very doughy and didnât seemed cooked all the way. My friend said the same thing. I enjoyed the fruit and parts of it were good but overall I wouldnât order it again. I will most likely be back for another beverage but not food. I loved the atmosphere. It felt very comforting and somewhere I wanted to enjoy a...
