Sorry but Iâm leaving one star, Good food isnât everything to get 5 stars. their schedule is horrible, they have a closing time they go by 4 at on Saturdayâs , but will close by 5 minutes prior to closing or maybe earlier. Theyâre closed on sundays so itâs like why canât you stay open an extra 5-10 mins on Saturdays. 4 o clock is very early for a summer Saturday. You gotta clean and do whatever anyways. I was right at the town hall at 3:55 and they locked the doors at 3:58 basically right in front of me when I stepped on the curb. I still had time just to get a few brownies for the weekend. I gotta walk and go by the traffic lights to get there and some cars donât wait for you to pass so that adds in time. I then called and got told oh we have a specific time to close and thatâs when we lock the doors even though it was not that time. They wouldnât even put it on hold for me. I wouldâve be in and out before it hit 4. I just donât understand, why have business hours in place when you donât go by it AND 2-3 minutes before your closing time is not the same number as 4 o clock. 3:58âŚ-âŚ4 not the same. . Youâre a bakery open on a Saturday, in the summer!!!!!! . like come on man. This happened to me before in the rain as well and I even got told if I get there before 4 then Iâm alright to get in. Just close on the weekends. Why even be open on Saturdays when you close so early or not go BY the business hours. Businesses in this town is starting to piss me off. Close at 12 and just do big orders if you want that weekend or just donât be open. I understand itâs your business and can make up your hours but understand it makes no sense you tell people you close at this time then close before it. Give people time just like they give you time. I still got more to say but this is enough, for now....
Read moreI can't say enough good things about Millstone Bread in Cobourg. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of freshly baked bread, and I knew I was in for a treat.
The selection of bread here is simply outstanding. Whether you're into hearty whole grains, delicate baguettes, or unique artisanal loaves, they've got it all. Each bread is a work of art, both in terms of taste and presentation.
But it's not just the bread that's exceptional; it's the whole experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with a smile and helpful recommendations. The cozy atmosphere invites you to linger, and I often find myself sipping coffee and savoring a croissant while chatting with fellow bread enthusiasts.
What truly sets Millstone Bread apart is their commitment to quality. You can taste the difference in every bite. The bread is always fresh, with that perfect crust and soft, chewy interior that makes you close your eyes and savor the moment.
I've also tried their pastries, and they're equally impressive. The buttery, flaky layers of their croissants are a pure delight. And let's not forget the delectable desserts and treats that often tempt me at the counter.
If you're a bread aficionado or simply appreciate top-notch baked goods, Millstone Bread is a must-visit. Whether you're picking up a loaf for dinner, indulging in a pastry, or just stopping by for a chat and a coffee, this place never disappoints. It's become a beloved part of my routine, and I can't recommend it enough!

Read moreLove this place and stop as often as I can but was quite disappointed with my last visit. Called the Friday before Easter to order hot cross buns for Saturday but was told I can't pre-order as they are sold on a first come first serve basis. Got up early and drove 25 minutes to get to the bakery by 7:15 on Saturday morning. Clerk told my husband the hot cross buns were just rising and to come back in an hour. Went for a drive to kill some time as there wasn't time to go home and back and when we returned to the bakery the buns were coming out of the oven. My husband was asked if he had placed an order and he told them that I had called the day before and was told I couldn't place an order. They said that they were in the middle of getting the placed orders fulfilled first and that would take a few hours and then they'll put out the remaining buns. We're on our way home without any hot cross buns. Kinda wish we'd been told that when I originally called and said I'd be there first thing in the morning, or on our first visit on Saturday morning. Would also like to know what it takes to be special enough to pre-order. More than just a little disappointed and maybe even a...
