Mr.Sub — Restaurant in Cobourg

Very bad service from one lady there. I went into Mr. sub and ordered two subs one for me and one for my friend. I asked for sub sauce on both subs then I turned around while she was putting it on and when I turned back around she was putting mayo on the subs. Then when I went back and asked politely for it to be remade, she said that she wouldn’t remake it. Then proceeded to tell me that I DID ask for mayo when i’m certain that I didn’t because I cannot eat mayo, I was also reading off an order from my friend who didn’t ask for mayo. After going in to the sub place three separate times and asking for around 10 minutes she finally agreed to remake it. However she was using some very unprofessional language and was raising her voice at my friend and I. She said that I shouldn’t bother coming back if I’m going to have issues and ask for my food to be remade, she said that she was going to get in trouble at work now because we asked for our subs to be fixed, and was implying that we weren’t telling the truth and calling her a liar. She also claimed that the cost of the food being remade would come out of her personal paycheque (I later looked up the laws in ontario around that and it is illegal for an employer to take money out of an employees paycheque over a food remake) The other worker who was in Mr. sub at the time this took place was telling her to remake it for us and she was ignoring him. I hate to leave this review as I have worked in fast food industry. But with that being said there is a certain standard in which you should be treated as a customer.

I walked in this store being the only customer and the lady came out from the back didn't even say hi to me, I had to say it to her and when I did got nothing back in return. After I ordered I came and sat at a table to eat. While I am eating there is a male employee mopping the floors ( I understand that) but what I don't get is that he has to push past the chairs on the other side of my table to get into a corner to mop which had no dirt, so disrupted me for no reason.

Then this same male employee then made the subs of two other customers with again NO greeting and the whole time looks miserable. If you're going to have no care please don't work in this industry. Was not the best experience.. not even a...

Great selection of quality fresh breads, fresh meats with all the possible works and dressings make that very stop-and-go unforgettable ! The daily special is well explained if you want. Clean, clean, clean. You trust quickly the polite patient and fast working people wearing gloves, and smile on their face, with protected hair. They walk the extra mile for your needs. Unique discrete quiet atmosphere, nobody raise their voice in there, intimate, and you don't feel crowded ; warm paint colour, nice comfortable wooden furniture, great seats, beautiful indigo light fixtures, European looking, great windows to look out, while you dont feel people are looking in! nice touch.
