What a find! While on a recent getaway with my sister, we stopped in the Taps & Cork on King in Cobourg before going for dinner. The bartender/owner Dave is a great host. Offers some great cocktails and craft beers. Small, comfortable place to grab a drink.....we even stopped after dinner for another drink and met his dog!

This is a very new bar, and a terrific one. My friend and I popped in for a drink on Sunday afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. They have a unique collection of wines and beer that are not stocked in the LCBO. I loved my ale and my friend certainly enjoyed her lager. As a wine lover, I can tell you that the wine selection is also good. They don't serve any food yet, but, believe or not, this is a BYOF .... as in bring you own food! One patron did, as she enjoyed her sandwich with a glass of wine. The decor is a bit funky, which is nice. And the owner/server is terrific - very friendly and helpful when explaining the options and her dream. Definitely worth the visit, whether for lunch, after pint, or evening glass of wine. Seems like an awesome restaurant with a great atmosphere… however my family and I walked in the other night on a Saturday, totally understand if your super busy and can’t handle more tables. We walked in 4 of us both the man and women working completely ignored us and definitely saw us.. they then continued to ignore us giving us looks for the next 5-8 min.. as we stood there confused on if we should just leave the man walks by doesn’t give us the time of day and in a snappy way says “NO FOOD” I’ve worked in restaurants and how they handled that would have been a big no no!! Just a heads up for taps and corks a “sorry folks we’re pretty full and don’t have any food” would be a way better response on handling that situation if you don’t want to drive...

Awesome small bar with really friendly staff. Would definitely recommend you stop by for a beverage.

We order some burgers from a different place as reservations were full and stumbled upon this spot. They let you bring your own food (they do offer some snacks) and then you can order your beverages there. Loved that concept.

A calm atmosphere with a few conversations happening. Wine menu looked decent, but we were there for the beer. They offer flights and have a nice little list of local craft brews.
