After spending the weekend in Blue Mountain Village area, we decided to check out some of the stores in Collingwood. There were several cute stores, unique art/ mural work along the street, and well maintained buildings. We came across the Blue Mountain Tea Company and were happy we did. For any tea lover this would be a delight. Even for those looking for a great lightweight gift to carry back for loved ones this is also a fantastic store to stop into. We were greeted by Rachel in the most warm and welcoming manner. She allowed us to take in everything the shop had to offer as it was filled with many loose teas both caffeinated and non- caffeinated, tea pots, mugs, and other products. She was enthusiastic to help find the right tea for us based on our likes and needs. We landed upon flavors such as Lala Land with chamomile, Immunity Boost with ginger, a non caffeinated Chai, and a per chance to dream blend. It is all weighed to your desired amount and packaged in either resealable bags or food grade tinsel (*which you a deal when returning using tins for refill I believe). All items are labeled with ingredients information and instructions for preparation. You are able to purchase a cup of tea or hot chocolate right on the spot to go (with agave, honey, and sugar options for sweeteners). This was good as it was a bit chilly that day. You can also purchase your favorite flavors and have them mailed to you. Rachel was patient with us throughout our selection process and we were equally grateful and pleased. All of the staff were amazing especially Rachel who took...
Read moreThis is my 2nd review of this same store after 1 year - that's how good they are! Nothing's changed: same courteous and calm demeanor - ladies there make us feel well-taken care of - and I am just talking about buying cups of tea from them! Even my kids notice the difference. Highly recommend everyone to stop by and enjoy the environment and the aroma and the great tea that they carry. Thank you Thank you! I should have written my review earlier! A causal visit to the tea company became one of the highlights of our ski trip. We only came to the store for a cup of tea. The nice cheerful lady started to ask for our personal favourite, patiently suggested a few options. Then she started to make our tea while I was enjoying myself with the peaceful environment inside the store. I enjoyed the tea as much as the service plus their attention to their customers’ needs. And yes, we returned the next day to get more tea and tea leafs to go, with the help of a different nice and cheerful lady. Next time you come up Collingwood, don’t forget to pay a visit to this tea shop! We need more businesses like this who...
Read moreI absolutely love this place, have been buying tea here for the past 3 years. The quality of the tea is the best and I will never go back to buying tea bags. HOWEVER, my most recent visit to the store was rather strange this time around... The woman working did not provide the friendliest amount of customer service to me. I was the only one in the store and she seemed to rush me, when I was asking her questions. I asked if they sold Eucalyptus tea and she said no. I asked if she could recommend anything along that line and she said no and for me to google it? Google it? How rude, you're the expert who works at the tea shop, c'mon! If you're in Collingwood, please visit this shop and support local. But apparently you have to do your research before hand, so idk,...
