So in these days of searing heat we have not wanted to cook. We have been doing nightly journeys to burger drive thru. Last night it was Burger King's turn. First came the experience of testing out the on-line ordering! One would have expected this to be straight forward. Except after selecting the item, options and quantity - there was no submit button! So after fiddling around changing items, refreshing...about to give up...and then it appeared! A nice green submit button! Now came the task of making it to the drive in window. This location could use a little clearer indication of where the entrance was. It is hidden around the back between overgrown hedges and looking like a small area of parking lot for storing the excess grease. (This week I have been visiting and learning about more drive thrus than I have in the last five years or more.) Next came a sign indicating that the location is not responsible for lost on-line orders - so it is more than the Submit button being an issue. My order was not lost. Now, one does not normally expect great things from a drive thru burger. As would be no surprise - it does not look like the advertising pictures. However, it was hot and fresh. Had a really nice fresh tomato slice too. The onion rings were not greasy! I would expect that onion rings are a little bit drippy, but these were nice, hot and well drained. As a final note -on days when a record temperatures are being set these guys were inside cooking meals for lazy, over privileged sods like me. Judging by the heat pouring out the take out window as I picked up my window I suspect that the air conditioning, which I am certain is adequate for a normal Vancouver area summer, had been completely overwhelmed by the 40+ temperature we were...
Read moreI’ve encountered extremely poor service at this location every time I’ve chosen to spend money here. I understand that I had made a mistake my processing the mobile order as “Take-Out” rather than Drive-thru, but there simply has to be a better way of approaching the customer if they’re unaware of the mistake- I came through the drive-thru and requested my order- was informed that it was not in her system- understood. I told her I would meet her at the window, and show her my receipt. At the window I’m informed yes- they have the order, but since I’ve placed it as “Take-out” I would have to come inside to pick up the order. I feel as though once you’ve read that the order is in the system, but there’s a mistake in where it was to be picked up— your system should ALLOW you to circumvent, and give the order through the pick-up window. I asked to speak to a manager, and the employee almost excitedly announced that there is no manager present.
Went inside to pick up my order as they just simply COULD NOT fathom packing it up and providing it to me through the window. Waited an additional 10 minutes for the order to be prepared, and had the situation explained again by a more understand employee. I still wanted to provide feedback, and requested a managers e-mail or contact information. She did not have this information, and simply told me the managers first name and her working hours. There should be an option to provide feedback without having to return to this establishment.
I do appreciate the employee in the store giving me a better explanation, and telling me to make sure all details are correct in the future to avoid this mistake, but there should be a better work-around that isn’t at the behest of...
Read moreReaturant was mostly empty. Maybe 4 people eating in. Myself, my wife and two boys went in for dinner this evening. I will say we all ask for our burger made to order. And each one is different. But it seems like I have a giant sign over my head everywhere I go because even though the other orders were correct. My sandwich had no cheese. I paid for cheese I expect cheese. I took it up and politely pointed out the mistake. She apologized and said they would make another. Our original order was at 6:33. By the time we got our food and I had discovered the issue and receiving my new burger 30 minutes had passed. My wife and children were all done their food and I left with the burger in a bag. Should I also mention the restaurant itself looked to have very poor housekeeping. As someone who has worked in the industry throughout my 55 years, I have to say since the people currently running all the fast food places in the lower mainland took over (you know who you are) you people are as bad at these jobs as you are driving. And when people ask why I don't support local fast food restaurants. I point them to all the evidence on my Google...
