This was an odd and very creepy experience.
At first, there was an issue with the driver delivering the wrong order. (I ordered through Uber Eats).
Thatās a human mistake, and things happen. However the true issue was the restaurantās response.
They immediately called me and demanded that I donāt contact Uber Eats Support.
Only a minute later, they called again and asked if I contacted Uber Eats Support, and said āif you do, theyāll deduct lots of money from usā. They demanded a few more times that I donāt tell Uber, before the call was ended.
Then they called me again and said āJust checking that you havenāt contacted Uber Support. Theyāll take a lot and LOT of money from us if you do. We have your phone number, if you contact them.ā
Once the order was finally corrected delivered, the restaurant called me AGAIN and said āJust checking that you wonāt contact Uber. We have your personal phone number and weāll contact you if we see any deductions to our account.ā It was beyond creepy, very invasive, and startling. The food was fine, but Iāll never order again from here, it was extremely unsettling and stressful.
If I have an issue with my order, itās not the restaurantās right to contact my personal phone number multiple times and request that I keep the issue private from the company theyāre delivering through.
Also, the phrasing of āWe have your number, weāll contact you if we end up seeing a deduction in our accountā is CRAZY.

So the restaurant called me again for some reason, I didnāt pick up. But since itās been weeks since I did this review, thatās creepy af that they still have my number.

The flavor was so awful that we ended up throwing them straight in the garbage. They didnāt resemble anything close to what was advertised on Uber Eats. It was honestly shocking.
They make a half-quarter naan (shown in photos) and call it one full naan. I ordered two, and they sent me what can only be described as half a naan for the price of two.
The Bolani was burnt (see photos) and tasted horrible. I couldnāt even take a second bite. It was completely inedible. For the amount of money I paid ($60), this is beyond unacceptable.
When I called to address the issue, Jamila was incredibly rude and dismissive. She mentioned that she had been working since 4 am and did this and did that, but didnāt even have the basic courtesy to apologize for the poor food and service. Her behavior was unprofessional, uncivilized, and absolutely not what I expect from a restaurant, especially one in Canada. I honestly feel like reporting this to the food authorities. My experience with their customer service however was a little less delicious: I had called to ask a question about my order, when the guy on the phone answered me I offered up a small suggestion to avoid something like this in the future, no complaints or even putting fault on anyone because I was only calling with a question. The guy proceeds to flip how he's talking to me and told me what happened was my fault and I was completely appalled because at no point in time did I put fault on them or the restaurant, I wasn't calling with a complaint and I didnt say anything to warrant this kind of rudeness.
I immediately asked to speak to the manager and my whole experience was COMPLETELY changed around. He was very kind and sincere in his apology on behalf of the restaurant. He reiterated that how the employee spoke to me was completely unacceptable and is even going the extra mile to make sure I enjoy my dinner from them.
