My family and I have been going to Jimoco's for years, since they they first opened, we would on average go once a week. Since this location was bought and franchised it has completely gone downhill. The food has no flavor and the staff is shockingly rude.
I dropped my 13 year old son off to get a table for my parents, his 2 siblings and myself while I parked the car (My parents came separate). The staff approached him and said 20% gratuity would be added to the bill and he said can you just talk to my mom about it she is just parking the car, they told him they would not seat us until we agreed to it. So when I found this out I thought it was rude but just asked for 2 separate tables because my parents were not there yet anyway. the waitress so umm okay fine. So my parents showed up and got their own table, we ordered after waiting for them for 35 minutes, never brought our drinks we ordered, had to ask for that, had to ask for cutlery, had to ask for the complimentary bread. It took 40 minutes for the orders to come out after that and also never brought my son's pizza. It came when everyone was done their meal. The food was not what it used to be at all, it's disappointing.
Anyway, after all of that, the bill comes, 2 bills for 2 tables and they added on the 20% gratuity which of course I was not impressed at this point so I said we actually decided to sit separate and they came after us so I'm not sure why you are charging us this. The waitress said, nope you are a group, just because you decided to sit separate doesn't mean anything. I said excuse me? You told my son you would not seat him until he agreed to this so I asked for separate tables and the other people weren't even here anyway, we are 2 tables, with 2 bills, she said no you aren't, you're a group. I said I'm not going to argue with you about this but we are clearly not a group because we are not seated together. She yelled at me in front of the restaurant and told me she could've charged me extra for having a complicated order - My complicated order being plain pasta with sauce on the side for my 3 year old daughter : ) I said are you kidding me? I said I wanted to talk to the manager and she stormed off and left us sitting there for another 30 minutes. I finally went up to the front and said I want to pay and leave I've been here for 2.5 hours because you keep ignoring us (This was a different waitress), she apologized and said they called the owner and it's fine. But honestly embarrassing and it sucks that it's not the same anymore. My family and I will never go back there again sad to say after being a customer for so long. Highly recommend a different option. Yes pasta is 2 for 1 but you can find same pricing, better quality and better service so many other...

Came here on Sep 1st, around 5:50ish pm, 3 adults and 1 kid. Waitress was polite and notify us there will be waiting after ordering which we think it’s alright since it’s a small store and not enough hands. We ordered 2 linguine, 1 squid ink and 1 kid meal. After waiting almost 40min, waitress came to us to apology because our order has lost and she needs to retake it. Eventho we are being shocked by kitchen mistake (I’m also thinking they sent our orders to their take out orders and gave excuse) There for, we still being polite to the waitress to let her know what we ordered, we expect our meals to come within 10min since it’s been a long wait and everyone starving, other tables who came way after us already eating or almost finished. (Take out orders send out fast and well packed during our wait)
Here the fun part, after waiting more than 30 min, since our table is at the very last corner I have to peeked out to the waitress to let her rush the kitchen, she went to kitchen quickly then came out to notify us will be here in 10min, and yet times up still no food. One of us had to go to the counter to ask when our food will be coming like we been waiting for 1 hour. Few minutes after my ink came then few minutes apart all of them came. We all rushed to eat cause we are so STARVING.
There is no apology from the kitchen and their take out orders were packed and sending out on time the whole hour we been seating without our food when other tables already done eating and take out orders left happily.
I’m not sure if the owner/manager in the store at the time, but this is the WORST KITCHEN MANAGING EVEN!
OFCOURSE WE TOLD THE WAITRESS SHE DID HER BEST BUT WE WONT TIPS.
(FULL-PRICE FOOD FOR KITCHEN MISTAKE AND NO APOLOGY? THANKS, WONT RETURN AGAIN, i’ll also let my friends and other family members know not to return again as your store treated regulars like garbage) as TAKE OUT ORDERS PRIORITY
Portions also getting less and less each time we visited, GOOD LUCK to your store with...
Read moreNestled in the heart of Coquitlam, Jimoco is a culinary gem that promises a delightful dining experience without breaking the bank. As I stepped into this cozy restaurant, I was immediately drawn to its inviting ambiance and warm atmosphere.
One of the first things that caught my attention was the affordability of the menu paired with generous portion sizes. In an era where dining out can often be a pricey affair, Jimoco offers a refreshing change with its wallet-friendly prices without compromising on quality.
Starting off with the calamari, I was pleasantly surprised by its perfect portion size. Unlike other establishments where appetizers leave you longing for more, Jimoco gets it just right. The calamari was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with a delectable dipping sauce that heightened its flavors.
Moving on to the main course, I had the pleasure of indulging in two pasta dishes: the Penne Rose Parma and the Baked Four Cheese Penne. Both dishes were nothing short of spectacular. The Penne Rose Parma boasted a creamy tomato sauce with a hint of basil, perfectly complementing the tender penne pasta and savory parmesan. As for the Baked Four Cheese Penne, it was a cheesy heaven on a plate. The combination of gooey melted cheese and perfectly cooked pasta was a match made in culinary heaven.
What truly sets Jimoco apart, besides its mouthwatering dishes, is the attention to detail in plating. Each dish was not only a treat for the taste buds but also a feast for the eyes. The presentation was artfully done, showcasing the chef's dedication to pleasing both the eyes and...
