I had my worst customer service experience in Canada thanks to these servers at Me-n-Eds.
I went there to pick my order and after showing my order one of the servers said its gonna be 4-5 minutes wait. So I sat down and wait about 15 minutes and since nobody came to me I again went to cashier and reminded about my order. Then again another server checked my order and said its goning to be few more minutes. So I wait 10 more minutes patiently and again ask about my order. Then she said I have to wait again and since its already 25 minutes I kindly asked her how long will it take approximately. Then this lady said she cant tell a time about cooking because she is not the cook so wait. And the aggressive way that she responded was not suitable for this hospitality industry. And then she was talking to her co-worker and I understood it was about me due to there body language and they were laughing and was not so pleasent.
I really dont mind waiting but as a red seal chef by proffesion I really appreciate kind response and attentive customer service as well as I would like to remind them that they must have an idea about cooking time of a pizza if they sell pizza. I hope somebody more responsbile from the restaurant will take care of these behaviors of servers so customers will not be treated...
Read moreOn March 30, 2025, my two friends and I, along with our six young children (ages 4-5), visited this restaurant for dinner. There was no sign prohibiting kids, and since they love pizza, we assumed it was a family-friendly place.
After eating, while waiting for the bill, the kids started running around excitedly. An elderly couple sat nearby, and within a minute, the woman asked me to make the kids sit and be quiet. I politely told her we were about to leave and reminded the kids to be calmer. However, she soon remarked, "If you're leaving, why don’t you just go?" This was upsetting, and I responded that she had no right to tell us when to leave, especially since the restaurant's music was louder than the kids.
What disappointed us most was the staff’s indifference. No supervisor or manager intervened, even though the restaurant had plenty of empty seats and could have offered the couple a quieter spot. I’ve ordered pizza from the Austin Ave. location over the past 10 yrs and other locations for another 15 yrs previous to it. Its definitely more expensive to a point where some might question how much more value I am getting considering Im paying almost double the cost of other local pizza joints. That said I was okay with paying premium price for a good pizza plus they allowed me to add toppings and /or substitute toppings without any extra charge so I figured there is additional valve to order from here. Not to mention free delivery!
I called today to put in an other and they wanted me to pay extra for changes to the toppings and charge me for delivery. When I add the tip on top its approximately $10 extra over and above an already expensive pizza. I did bring this up over the phone and they person answering the phone did not give a hell.
