Great taste and service! Too good that we forgot to take pictures. Went there with a couple friends for the first time. We would definitely suggest this one to our other friends and go there again in the future. Love their ordering system - you scan the QR and order from the phone. 1 star lost - still room for improvements. They forgot a few skewers that we ordered because we had the longest order slip. So we had to remind them. Also they explained the cold dish was what we ordered, but it clearly showed "cauliflower" on the menu and picture of the dish was pretty clear it's cauliflower. They insisted the mixed veggies (bean curd, fungus, cucumbers) which we already finished (still had a few bean curd left) was the cauliflower. I guess they are still new at running this restaurant, so we let it go because the mixed veggies cold dish was pretty good and they didn't charge us on the cauliflower that wasn't served. Suggestions: 1. The server to name the dish before they put down anything on the table in case it was for another table. 2. The server should also cross out the item on the order slip after the dish has been served - easy for them and customers to track what's been served and what's not. 3. They should also have an item on the menu for local beers with prices, so the customers can tell the discrepancy between local and imported beers. 4. They should also have a system to help the server to keep track what brand they are still in stock and those that are sold out. Perhaps have another menu for liquors with an empty space to mark which ones are "sold out". 5. Install a bell at every table - easier for server to track the table and customers to get...
Read moreWe are frequent customers who often visit with a group of at least five people. We consistently tip at least 15%, sometimes even more, when we receive good service.
On Thursday night around 8:30 PM, we arrived with a party of five. When we kindly asked for a pen to fill out our order, the server unexpectedly threw it at us. We were shocked by this behavior and, after discussing it among ourselves, decided not to leave a tip due to her disrespectful attitude. It’s possible she overheard our conversation because, from that moment on, her behavior became even worse. She began slamming items onto the counter aggressively and maintained an angry, unwelcoming expression throughout the service.
To be clear, we did not behave in any rude or inappropriate manner—we simply came to enjoy our meal. The poor service started with her throwing the pen at us, and her attitude only escalated from there.
After finishing our meal, we proceeded to pay the bill. Given the unacceptable service, we chose not to leave a tip. However, the server then directly confronted us, demanding a tip with a serious and forceful demeanor. We have no problem tipping when the service is good, but in this case, it was far from acceptable.
We are writing this to bring the matter to management’s attention, as such behavior should not be tolerated. We hope appropriate action is taken to prevent similar incidents...
Read moreVisited in March. You order by phone which makes things a bit difficult to view. Note that the side dishes are for the soup and not usually ordered by themselves (we tried ordering fish tofu and black fungus but they would only boil it so we canceled those items.)
There is limited parking and the place is kinda small with bench seating and no where to put your coat. But since it was kind of cold, we kept those on. There was a table of very loud diners at another table which made it difficult to carry on a conversation.
Wound up ordering the following: Honey Grilled Wings ($6.38) 2 skewers Chicken Skewers ($11.45) 5 skewers BBQ Pork with Honey ($10.95) 5 skewers Special Beef Rolls ($9.98) Italian Melon ($6.27) 3 zucchini skewers Cuttlefish Balls ($6.27) 3 skewers Seafood and Pork Stuffed Dumplings ($11.20) - they told us they didn't have enough dumplings for a regular order of 12.
Best was the special beef and honey pork skewers as well as the zucchini.
I found the chicken was a bit dry. Good dumplings with juicy filling (but I didn't taste any seafood in the filling)
The food was mostly ok but didn't like the...
