Ordered take out over the phone. Was told 10-15 mins.
Arrived at the restaurant after 10 mins, went up to the till, saw the cashier and a few servers, but no one greeted me.
After a few minutes, the cashier said wait a moment. She was preparing the dessert and the other server stood beside her to watch her pour into the bowls. Instead, the server can take over and the cashier can help me, but no. Ok so I wait.
After the cashier done preparing the dessert, she told me to wait a moment again. She went inside the kitchen to bring food out.
After that, she could have helped me, but no, she went to the front of the restaurant to seat a few customers who just came in (I really don’t know what’s the point of the other servers, they were just walking around and not even serving).
Then a few people needed to pay for their bill so they were nice enough to line up behind me. THEN, the cashier had to help me so she can get to the people behind me to pay her. The cashier said my order was not ready but said (not ask) I can pay first. Fine. Then she asked if I was paying cash. I was confused because the sign on the till said over $20 can pay with debit, and over $40 can pay with credit card. My bill was $19, so isn’t there no choice? So since she asked, so I asked if I can pay by credit. She said no, only over $40. Okay, so I pay with cash then.
She gave me my change and told me to wait and helped the next person. I then realize one of the quarters was not a quarter, it was a France currency. I told her it’s not a quarter and want proper change. She took the France currency and didn’t say anything. So I waited until she finished helping this person. After this person I went up to her and said I need my proper change. She said WAIT A MOMENT, STOP RUSHING ME, STAND ASIDE. Wow, I can’t believe she just said that to me.
After she helped the last customer, she handed me a quarter and said HERE’S YOUR QUARTER, IT’S JUST A QUARTER, STOP RUSHING ME.
It’s 30 mins now since I’ve ordered. I just saw her serve food to the table that she seated earlier, but I haven’t got my take out yet.
What a great experience. I went home and didn’t even have the appetite to eat the food anymore. Thanks for making my night...
Read moreI have never encountered such as rude of an employee as the one who answered the phone to take my order. She said her name is Bonnie and i was wanting to order a deep fried silverfish. The price she gave me is way higher than the price online so i asked about it. She said thats because there’s 2 sizes the price online is for a small order and the price she gave me was for a large order. So i asked how much bigger is the large compared to the small. Coz if its double the size of a small i would order the large instead of getting 2 orders of the small as i originally planned. She kept telling me the price everytime i asked instead of answering my question. Then eventually i tried to word my question in a different way because maybe she did not understand english very well, she proceeded to answer in a sarcastic way and said “ i dont know its a small fish how can i count how many in the order? So Do you want the small or large? And at this point she sounded really annoyed. I let it go. So i said, let me call back, (coz i wanted to ask my brother he was the one who asked me to order) This very rude lady gave me a loud sigh on the phone and hang up on me. I called back and i told her in a calm voice, i said “you hang up on me that was very rude” i then said i am a regular customer through skip the dishes and i order all the time. She hang up on me again. So i called the 3rd time demanding to talk to the manager coz i was already mad at this point. She said the manager is not in and she doesnt know when the manager is coming back. I told her they just lost a long time customer coz there is no way im going to order there again. I told her she has a bad attitude and she answered “you too” and hang up again. What a character! She did not have to be so nasty just because she did not get the question. Rest assured, i will call that restaurant again until i speak to the manager. I would rather support other restaurants who treat their customer who support their business...
Read moreI got delivery through Skip The Dishes from this place at around 10:00pm on a Sunday. I ordered a soy chicken rice plate, deep fried tofu, salt and pepper squid and pork century egg congee. The squid was quite tasty, still had a crisp to it. The tofu was a bit bland, but still enjoyable. The congee was actually missing the pork, but a decent congee nonetheless. What made me rate this restaurant a one star was for the soy chicken rice plate, and the rude waitress we talked to over the phone. As soon as I opened the box to my soy chicken, I was immediately disappointed and contacted the restaurant. Which made no attempt to resolve the situation but instead angered us even more by being rude and in complete denial. It was the saddest, driest, and smallest plate of soy chicken I've ever had or seen. I believe I got the left over scraps of chicken at the end of the night, which they probably thought was just barely enough to maybe fool someone into believing that this was a full order. They gave me a few extra pieces of yu choy sum (green leaf vegetable) as a attempt to cover the up the obvious disproportional chicken to rice ratio. I got literally 6 scrawny pieces of chicken, not the meaty and juicy ones but the skin and bone parts, oh sorry I got one decent piece. I felt cheated, because if you've never had soy chicken rice before, there's literally chicken, rice and a couple pieces of vegetables and obviously the chicken is the star of the dish. Just wanted to also add, we called the restaurant and tried our very best to explain to the waitress what we received in the calmest way possible, however we were met with nothing but denial, frustration and disrespect. When we asked to speak with the manager she just made excuses after excuses to avoid it from happening.
I would've sincerely have let everything slide and even be a returning customer if ONLY, the waitress on the other end showed a bit of empathy and respect, however none of...
