Samuel's Sammiches and Sweets — Restaurant in Corner Brook

So it's hard not to start by how amazing the service was. I came at an odd time so it wasn't too busy and they really took the time to make me feel welcomed and talked to me about what was on the menu to figure out what to order.

I ended up with an adobo chicken thigh, rice, a chicken skewer and some spring rolls.

Everything was good, but the spring rolls were really good!

For dessert I had the Portuguese tart. I was a bit disappointed in the crust as I prefer the style with a layered pastry bottom like I had in Portugal. I also missed having a bit of cinnamon and powdered sugar on it but maybe I just didn't see the possibility of having them as I got them fresh off the press! But all that negativity aside it was really good. The taste of the custard was really great!

I also had a cream cone, I wanted to try the Neapolitan but you could only get them in a 4 pack, and while I'd love that, I'm not sure my belt would say the same! I settled for the cream cone but I might have actually lucked out as they were so good I was almost disappointed I didn't get 4!

I will surely return and take the spring rolls and I might try something else off the menu. I will also definately get another...

First time customer! I had the orange chicken and rice. We also bought an array of desserts to taste because we knew we'd not be in Corner Brook again for a little while! Also...it was very hard to choose because everything here looks so delicious and super fresh. 😍😋

The orange chicken was absolutely delightful! Huge portion, big chunks of lightly battered white chicken in this amazing bright, sweet orange sauce with peppers and onions! The rice was soft and fluffy... the dish was simply perfect!

I had the Filipino coconut pie, it was creamy and full of hearty strands of coconut. The pie crust was soft with hints of sweetness. It was awesome! We also shared some strawberry tiramisu! Which was so so so so so good! Would HIGHLY recommend!

We've saved a cheesecake stuffed, chocolate dipped caramel apple for tomorrow, and an oreo cheesecake cupcake to enjoy! Can't wait! :)

If you are stopping in Corner Brook on your cruise, then take the 15 min walk away from the center of town and away from the tourist traps and give this place a try. It's a bit up the hill but a nice way to burn a few calories, not a difficult walk at all.

It's a locally owned business with legit food. We ordered the fusion burger, chicken skewer, pork skewer, and a couple egg tarts. The burger was well constructed, perfectly cooked, and a very unique flavor which we enjoyed. The skewers were both really tasty, nice charred flavor and tangy sauce. But let me say that those egg tarts were probably the best egg tarts I've ever had. The crunchy caramelized exterior was something i didn't expect but it was just amazing. Do not forget to order this item before you leave. Service was to notch, got to chat a bit with the owners and they were very nice. I would 100% come back if my path ever brought me to Corner...
