Fatburger Courtenay — Restaurant in Courtenay

Ordered two Milkshakes for takeout . Took over 15 minutes to make a strawberry and chocolate. Staff was constantly interrupted to do the till, answer phone etc. Wasnt busy only 2 people sitting down. Some takeout order’s and online Usually they ask if I want whipped cream when you buy milkshake least they used to. Now I was told only on takeout if customers ask. But the big picture of milkshakes show the Milkshakes loaded with whip cream on top that’s what made them great and special. Guess not anymore . Then they ran out whip cream only one had some as dispenser ran out. Was told be a minute or two to refill whip cream dispenser the staff member came up to sink washed out dispenser then couple came to order and she attended them left the dispenser and my two milkshakes sitting there I finally just ask please to take the milkshakes as they are. Usually in past they make thick mik shakes These shakes were not thick instead they were runny and not worth the $15.98 including Tip. Very disappointing and will not be returning as I didn’t get my moneys worth. The young man at the till was trying But I was disappointed to watch staff start the order then stop and answer the phone or attend to someone that comes up to the till and all the while the milkshake sit waiting to get served or sitting in where the ice cream is stored and Milk shakes is waiting till they can finish them. I am not impressed you have, Management of FatBurger a dissatisfied Customer, might be a while if...

Not in recent memory has taking a chance on a new restaurant backfired so much.

My initial impressions when seeing the restaurant weren't great. There were 8 people packed around the doorway, not one wearing a mask. The two cashiers working had masks, but they were pulled down to their chins, and even went the extra mile in leaning around the plexiglass barrier to speak to customers!

The young man who helped us couldn't find my order at first, until I provided the number. I do my due diligence and check the contents. Both burgers, curly fries, but only one kid's meal when I had ordered two. Luckily, I caught it before leaving, and they made another.

Upon getting home, as other reviewers have pointed out, the fries weren't even warm, and it wasn't even a 15 minute drive home. Of course, despite requesting no tomato on my wife's burger, it made its way in anyway.

But what really prompted me to call SkiptheDishes and get a refund was a spot of mould on my wife's brioche bun.

Any of these issues separately could be disregarded, but this many errors goes to show that the Courtenay Fatburger has not yet gotten past the growing pains of opening, and it could take a long...

My wife order vegetarian burger guy at counter explain her that it will come with mayo lettuce tomato cheese. At home when we open it was hamburger. Called to store they said will exchange just bring it like that. Cashier did not exchange food instead said that hamburger and vegetarian burger patty cooked at same grill. So then we had no interest on food yak!!

They are using same grill for meat and vegetarian ! I don’t think any vegetarian guy will visit there after hearing this.

And we have to come back without food.

We asked for refund the money, cashier said I have asked manger and manger told him they have order king burger and all ingredients are listed there they cannot refund money. So might be cashier did not mention actual order in kitchen without hamburger.

She did not argue with cashier.

Even though they kept that return food which is fine plus did not refund money and instead of 3 burger he gave 1 free burger coupon .

Very poor service plus no sense of urgency. Poor management. Definitely never gone come back and will make sure spread this story...
