TacoTime — Restaurant in Courtenay

This Taco Time is a strange little place. Experiences here are always a little off. Yesterday my wife and I came in just before 7pm and waited to order. We ordered 2 Crisp Beefs, Large Mexi-fries and a Large Drink. It was a couple minutes before they put into the till. Before we got our food, they informed us that we could no longer eat in the restaurant, it would have to be takeout. They said they close the lobby at 7, even though they are open until 7:30. The lobby currently had guests in it that just sat down, but we had to go eat in our car. Pretty frustrating that they can’t accommodate people eating in inside when tacos burritos and dips notoriously fall all over when you eat them. Their restaurant stayed ”clean” but our car did not.

This place is always a bit dirty too. It feels as though it never really gets a deep clean.

It was Cinco de Mayo. I went back in before they closed to get their $2 Taco Deal. The one employee was deep into the cash out. She didn’t say anything but silently took another couple minutes and finished the cash out before offering service. The other girl was sweeping the floor and the employee that served me kept brushing the counters off onto the floor where the girl had already swept. There was some silent tension, but the one girl didn’t seem to care.

Overall, it’s Taco Time. The food is decent. You can eat for $10-$15 each. Care is very limited. Your tacos may all be broken by the time they wrap them. Don’t count on fast and although they’re open, don’t...

I've always loved taco time so when we moved to Campbell River it sucked because they don't have one! So every couple weeks we drive in to go here... Never again! The girls working are so unbelievably rude, they sit there chasing to each other while you're in front of them in their own language. Well, here's a little tip. You should never insult or speak rudely of people in front of them in a different language assuming they can't understand you, because I can abs I heard every single work you said about every person that you guys served. You should be ashamed abs the owner should be also Then on top of it the food was absolutely disgusting! I don't know what you've done or changed but the tacos were inedible to the point my dog wouldn't touch them. I ordered mexi fries deluxe large and when we got outside they were small regular mexi fries I asked for hot sauce No hot sauce I paid for sour cream No sour cream This was disgusting when I went back asking for my money back with the gross food the girls were so busy giggling acting like idiots that they weren't doing anything and then told me they didn't want the food back?!? But that they weren't allowed to refund or replace What kinds of scammy place is this...

Absolutely inprofessional and unwilling to help. My wife and I don't often order out but we thought it would be a nice change to have tacos for dinner since our children are young and don't really eat beef there would be a treat for us. After getting our food delivered through skip the dishes we realized that outside of our Mexican fries have every part of our order was wrong. I ended up with 2 tacos that only had beans on them. I specifically dont get beans ever. No beef at all which is exactly what I wanted and my wife's taco was done wrong as well. We Called Taco Time and they said it was their fault but I don't know they're fault but unless I was willing to come get more from their location they were not gonna deliver it to us and they didn't have delivery people right now.So they fully admitted that they did are entire order incorrectly But we're unwilling to deliver us the right order. And unfortunately because of timing of that day and the whole reason we couldn't go out to get it ourselves originally I couldn't get my corrected order even if I wanted to.
