This place was really great. We decided to go here because of the live music and were not all that impressed with it. It was really loud, hard to talk and quite frankly, she wasn’t that great. We arrived around 6:30pm and were graciously offered to sit at the bar while we waited for a table on the patio. We waited around half an hour, and to fill our time, we ordered a spinach dip and around of drinks. The spinach dip was tasty however it would have better if the chips weren't quite as stale. The view from the deck, when we arrived, was stunning. Lush trees sat across a clear, winding river. Unfortunately, it was that time of the day that the sun wasn't quite hiding behind those trees and was beating down on us even with the umbrella... obviously, this was by no means any fault of the restaurant, just something to think about if you want to sit outside. The food that I ordered- the Prawn Carbonara was incredible.it came nice and hot, it was a good size and included garlic bread! My boyfriend's food was decent he says. He asked for blackened fish and he got served battered, but he said he didn't want to wait another 30 minutes so he just ate them. We also ordered drinks and may I just suggest their mojito? The service was excellent! All of the staff were both personable and friendly! Overall, it was an excellent dining experience and we definitely recommend.

3rd time there. First time we walked in and back out as it was far too noisy to even have a discussion. I sympathize with the person who wrote about the band being there at 7 pm. It must have been real noisy. Second time was for lunch and it wasn't that bad. Food was pretty good and service was good. 3rd time was for the schnitzel special and it was only fair. It was huge in portion and with fresh vegetable but the schnitzel was somewhat dry. I would suggest you check the schnitzel at the Griffen to see how they make it. Theirs is the best. Again, service was good. It was quiet because I was there at 4:30. Would I go again to the Heritage? Probably not as I believe several other places are far better. If you want a summer patio next to a river for a cool beer, then sure.

Went in for the first time for all you can eat fish and chips for $22 and was so pleasantly surprised! The fish was perfectly cooked, light batter with massive pieces of fish. Best fish and chips I’ve had in a really long time, seriously! JP was our server and he was amazing as well, was really impressed all around. Noticed the chef taking time to take a look around the restaurant to ensure everyone was happy which was a really nice touch as well. Looks really nice inside too :) we can’t wait to come back and try more things! I never leave reviews for places but as a new place in town they really earned a great review.

Was super excited when this place reopened, because the previous restaurant was amazing. Came for dinner on Saturday with two friends. We arrived at 7pm and there was a band playing. Not that I don’t appreciate live music, because I do. But at 7pm? When everyone is trying to eat and chat. It was so loud we had to almost yell to have conversation. The menu lacked creativity and the first appy we ordered; they were out of. We had Calamari for an appy instead and it was greasy and undercooked. Possibly the worst calamari I’d ever eaten. We then ordered two yorkie wraps and an order of meatballs. The meatballs were wrapped in pastry and the pastry was not cooked completely; so there was raw dough in the center. The yorkie wraps were equally disappointing. It seems like instead of cooking a fresh piece of beef that the pre-sliced deli style roast beef was used. The service was terrible, the gross Calamari plate was still on our table 35mins later. The food took 45 minutes to arrive, which is a long time. We could see in the kitchen from where we sat; and there were a lot of staff just standing around and chatting while paying customers have dirty tables and empty drinks. Very very disappointed in the whole experience especially since The White Whale that was previously in this spot was amazing. I am giving the whole experience a one ⭐️ and that is...

Was very excited to try this restaurant unfortunely it was dissapointing. The service started out very nice but took a turn. We ordered the Prawn Carbonara and the Ceaser salad with battered fish tacos. The pasta was ok but not very flavourful. The other main, the fish tacos and ceaser salad was not good. The coleslaw was almost sour- not as in ‘off’ but just not the desired taste, the fish was greasy and batter was not good, the pickle onions tasted like they had been pickled in sugar. All around not an enjoyable dish, so we explained this to the server and that we did not want to finish it and the response we got was “ well everyone else has been enjoying it tonight”. Which really sealed the deal of us having a bad experience. She did not ask if we would like to order anything else or even for it to be taken off the bill. So the meal was paid for in full and maybe 1/4 was eaten. Our whole experience would’ve been better if we had been met with a proffesional and accommodating answer, which is actually...
