Take it from a bystander who was there. I am not affiliated with this bar other than being present as a customer. In regards to the "friends and fans" who are now slandering this bar The treatment of a patron who was not unjustified by staff. No shoes, no shirt, no service, it doesn't have anything to do with the bar staff other than kicking out a half naked person who refused to clothe themselves as per policy, then said person getting aggressive. ESPECIALLY when when a patron is trying to get physical with other patrons and staff and dangerous to public safety, so they get kicked out and try to cause a fight and get punched by some RANDOM drunk person who they themselves, were physically assaulting then they go to media and try to claim victim to get social media followings and money, and slander a good name of a bar to get their way. Kelly obryans staff treated everyone within reason, and assisted police in trying to find the people who escalated the situation. Learn all sides of a story before you post hate speech and don't hop on band wagons, it doesn't have anything to do with the bar staff other than kicking out a half naked person who refused to cloth themselves as per policy, then said person getting aggressive.

To top it off. Good food. Good service. I've only ever seen people treated equally here, would recommend going. This is a sincere...

I took a friend here for her birthday lunch the end of March. We have enjoyed this place many times in the past. But the service was not as good this visit. We got seated in a rather awkward location , had to wait for the server many times , and it was not even busy in there. 3 weeks later I get my visa statement only to see that I was charged twice , same amount at the exact date and time. Visa told me I had to call them and explain what happened. I talked to the owner/manager Shawn and he was not willing to take my info or even look into this error. He said ya , you were probably charged twice , I believe you but visa will have to call me first. It doesn't work like that. Either you show willingness to look into the error your restaurant made or it has to now be disbuted through visa. As a business owner myself , I have in the past had to look for transaction slips to check things and that is what we do to keep our customers happy. Kelly & Carlos O'Bryan's in Courtenay is an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The menu offers a dish for just about anyone, in any mood. My large family tried just about the biggest range you could get and EVERYTHING was delicious! As a picky eater myself, I decided to have the chicken lips and Pachos and LET ME TELL YOU! I didn’t think chicken fingers and fries could get any better, but BOY DID THEY EVER! Plus, if you haven’t yet had a chance to witness first hand the most insane drink menu you’ve ever seen, now is the time to do so.
