What a beautiful little store! When I walked in I was blown away. It’s simply decorated with natural elements. They have a few comfortable tables to have your lunch or coffee and a sweet. But most importantly... their product is delicious! I grabbed a loaf of their ‘plain’ sourdough (maybe it’s called farmers? I can’t remember in the 20 minutes since I grabbed it!) The crust is perfectly crunchy and the inside is soft and moist. The Italian vegetable soup is flavourful and filling. It’s full of chunky pieces of Zucchini, beans, carrots, etc. It is very homemade (in a good way!) I’ll be back!

Celebrating our volunteer teams for a week, we looked for locally owned businesses to purchase treats from. Birdies was a recommendation from another business, and was such an excellent team to work with - had lots of great ideas, and they put together some great assorted boxes. The oatmeal cookies with orange buttercream are unbelievably delicious - a must try item if you ask me. I also purchased a loaf of sourdough bread and it was the best we've had in HRM. My boss was able to have some too as they don't use yeast in their sourdough. So so fresh and delicious. Will be back and highly recommend. 1. best sourdough bread in the city - bar none!! I prefer the seeded sourdough- the flavor is crazy but all are good
2. chocolate chip Cookies have salt on them. (Very trendy) I love them. Best I’ve ever had, but admittedly, trendy isn’t for everyone
3. when they have sea buckthorn danishes- grab them!! Delicious!
4. coffee is okay. Not as strong as I like it, but I like it very strong
5. morning buns are crazy good!
