Downtown Pizza — Restaurant in Dartmouth

Today i again ordered food from this place and did observed a huge change in the quality. This time the food was good n worth the price. There are multiple orders made to this location in the last couple of weeks. All the orders were taken by the owner name Rahul, over the phone. The first time i ordered was 2 large pizzas n some finger foods. The funny part was , the staff forgot to cut the pizza , expecting me to cut the pizza by myself at home, the other food item we ordered were fried momos which were frozen cold from inside but fried from outside, since I was into the restaurant business for long I can understand these things happening sometimes due to busy hours , so I dint call them. The second time, I placed the order at very late hour after my work, seekh kebab , fried momos & steam momos, again the same situation of the fried momos hot from outside and cold from inside. The seekh kebab is already made in advance and stored in the freezer , as per order, they microwave it and then serve it. So the kebab I got was half cold and half hot even this time I dint complain bcoz I thought they took my order at the closing time so could be a possibility of the staff trying to finish up the order at a faster pace. The third time, I placed an order for 2 chicken Tikka n 2 seekh kebabs way in advance so I could get the proper cooked food without any hurry. This time, the chicken was without any salt, and the kebab was tasting awful n cold from inside as if the staff hadn't even allowed the microwave to do its job of heating the food properly , i just spat out my first morsel as it was smelly and cold felt like vomiting. I called them and reported the problem for which they offered me a new order in 15 mins, but I refused, saying I would take it next time for which the staff agreed and informed me that he has marked my complaint and will take care of it in the future order. I was in the same work zone today and pretty close to the pizz outlet so thought of placing an order and also reminding the staff that I'm suppose to get 1 dish complimentary due to the mishaps from the last order but instead of taking my order they took my number and asked to wait for the owners call... Mr. Rahul calls me and explains how to handle the frozen food when to eat how to eat , duration of travel time, what to do if the food is cold. But he didn't acknowledge my problem and didn't even bother to rectify it.... Forget about complimentary or free food. The most important thing is customer concern, people's health, and ownership of wrong doing . How can u serve stale and frozen food in the name of fresh food.. this is a serious health issue. By serving stale and uncooked food, these guys are playing with customers' health. No proper food handling , no temperature check, I wonder how these guys are managing multiple locations... surprising.... eating such food can actually kill someone if the person immune system is weak.... thinking...

If I could give this place a 0 star review I would, I never make reviews but this really set me off. Ordered a butter chicken poutine, received a handful of fries with pizza sauce on top, and no chicken, when I called to explain to them it was gross, I asked for either a refund or a replacement of a different poutine, the guy refused to do either, and said it wasn’t their fault we didn’t like the poutine. I’ve eaten at many restaurants and absolutely love butter chicken, there wasn’t any curry flavour of any kind in the butter chicken sauce, it tasted just like pizza sauce. When I explained how upset I was over the fact that I wasted money on something that was not as advertised, he continued to argue with me over the phone, when I explained my boyfriend who is the one who bought the poutine was pretty upset and ready to come down and deal with the situation himself, the guy on the phone told us “good luck with that” , customer service is terrible I’ve been to plenty high end restaurants and work in the restaurant industry and never had an issue with getting a replacement or refund anywhere, very unprofessional and I will never be eating here again. If your thinking of eating here and want to try something new, don’t do it because if you take one bite of the food and don’t like it...

From start to finish, the service provided by Downtown Pizza was excellent. We are a company of over 200 employees and turned to Downtown Pizza-Woodside to supply the pizza for our Employee Appreciation lunches at 3 different locations in Dartmouth. They did not disappoint!
