I have been to Cheese Curds regularly in the last 6 months. it is located at 380 pleasant Street, Dartmouth Nova Scotia. The quality of the burgers and fries is top notch. The choice of burgers and toppings is plentiful. The quality of food here is what stands out most of all, along with their attention to detail. For example, they have sliced tomatoes and diced tomatoes, mango chutney, jalapeno peppers, banana peppers, and a variety of other toppings which are all free. The burgers and fries are fresh and made to order, not prepared ahead of time! Their poutine is delicious, and they have a multitude of varieties. My favourite is the Acapulco Poutine. They also have fried cheese curds as a topping - delicious. How about the staff at this location? I have had courteous, professional, attentive service from Jason, Mitchell and Nic! Well done gentlemen! I highly recommend "Cheese Curds" in Dartmouth Nova Scotia, it's worth the drive...
Read moreExcellent pouting, as usual. I have to say I was asked to leave as they were at capacity dining. I was standing at the stand up table but THERE WERE NO SIGNS INDICATING THIS TABKE WAS CLISED TO DINERS.
I didn't argue, but did tell the person who removed me to put signs on this long table/shelf.
Also, the only two tables available and occupied were about 12 feet apart. How about adding a small table?
It was cold outside and I ate at an outside table. It reminded me of eating my food outside during winter army exercises but there is one thing, I'm not in the Army anymore and pushing 70.
I may not eat here again for a while, at least until after the CIVID all clear. Even then, not sure if I'll bother. There are plenty of other places that serve great poutine and have a better set up...
Read moreFood is mediocre, above the big hamburger chains that use the absolute cheapest grade ingredients and put profit first & quality last, but below homemade creations such as my own using lovingly raised local beef by someone who cared dearly about the animal, put on a bun baked with minimally processed organic flour in small batches by a hip dude down the street & topped with real goodness and flavour right out of our heirloom garden! Mmmm. Anyway, my biggest whine is the bare hands, handling the food with no gloves after touching whatever, scratching your ears, all that stuff. You can't wash your hands enough to keep ahead of it, lmpossible. I know, gloves are advised but not the rule. Too bad. That's all, thanks. Oh, the self serve drink machine, now...
