The food is fine, I'll give them that. BUT there is an issue at large. Mizu is a little pricy to attend supper there, But given the circumstance it is "all you can eat" & it is quality food so that's fine. What is most upsetting about Mizu is that it isn't really an all you can eat place. The last 5 times myself & my colleagues have gone there, they just stopped serving us after a while. There ordering system keeps track of every single thing ordered to your table. My last 5 experiences, before actually leaving the establishment, there were things we ordered that we patiently waited for that just never came. Also between meals they tend to slow down on serving you for long periods for what it seems to be in hopes of you paying for your meal and leaving. Why open an all you can eat buffet if when there are customers that can eat more than what the workers/owners anticipated stop getting served? The term "all you can eat" means all you can eat. That statement isn't for the workers/owners to decide period. If they don't like the amount someone can consume, don't open an all you can eat restruant. For the price of $35 for a evening supper including tip, some of us expect to indulge until simply we cannot, hence the term all you can eat. I would like to see better customer service at Mizu, & for them to correct their actions such as what it seems to be purposely taking an unreasonable amount of time to serve their customers, And to actually bring out every item that is ordered regardless of how much they've ordered previously. The food is fine, but it seems Mizu likes to penalize certain individual customers after what they deem has been enough food served. What that being said, the point of an "all you can eat" buffet or restaurant is so that the customer leaves after not being able to...
Read morePretty darn terrible sushi and everything else. The oil is so heavy my stomach had so much trouble digesting the crap that is deep fried. The sushi variety and Japanese food is so limited and then the menu is diluted with all this other trash like their so-called "Thai" options which they don't know what the heck they are doing... Pad Thai is not a hand full of rice noodles with a little sauce and NOTHING ELSE... When they brought it to the table I just stared in amazement. The environment is messy and not well cleaned. I found 3 receipts on the floor under my table and this was around 2:00 PM when they had plenty of opportunity to clean. The tables were sticky as were the sauce containers, the only thing I liked was the fact that the waitress sprayed menus with antiseptic but to do it right before they handed it to us was a bit odd, couldn't they have done that in between customers? The people that eat there give you a pretty good idea of what to expect, a table with 8 babies all crying non-stop and another table with a toddler that just couldn't appreciate the food and didn't want to be there. Just a miserable experience full of disappointing food. The salmon sushi was fair, just your run of the mill commercial salmon that seemed a bit dehydrated from storage with sweetened soy sauce to try to get most of their food to be palatable. No smile on the waitresses faces when they came by, they look like their souls have been sucked right out of them. Sorry folks cannot in good conscience recommend this...
Read moreLuckily, Dartmouth has many other sushi places to choose from now , as I will not be back again. I received an order a few months ago that was soggy, cold, everything tasted terrible and also got the sushi order wrong. I called them and they said they would put a note on my account for free rolls and $$ off the next time I order as I ordered over 50$ of food with much of the order being wrong or just not fit to eat. Last night I decided to try again as I knew I had the credit and many other places were closed for the holiday. I let them know there should be a note on my file about the rolls and $$ off. They said there was no note and they would never do that for their customers, as 15% off is the “largest discount”! I let them know this is not what was promised considering my order was over 50$ I didn’t understand how 15% would be suffice or that that was all they were willing to do considering I was told other wise before. And they still got my order wrong! They said they would give me 15% off again next time and told them I won’t be back as 15% doesn’t even cover the amount of one roll price when you are purchasing a 50$ order. Save your money and check out sushi 101 for the best sushi in Dartmouth , sushi jet for all you can eat, or jukai/the dahlia for yummy asain fusion and sushi, with much better customer service. I wouldn’t write a bad review for a one-off problem with service but after multiple times with staff unwilling to make things right it seems...
