Courtesy:
If you merely had basic courtesy and accepted your errors, omissions, shortfalls, it would have made up for the bad experience today. But, obviously, you have instructed the girls to not disturb you. Even when the customer is blunt and asking for the owner. So that I can tell you first hand of what I am gonna tell you now. But no. Your staff would not let me talk to you. On 4 straight back to back calls they asked me who I was and placed me on hold and hung up. So convenient. Except that you forget we have Google or Yelp to rant from. Anyways, let's come to the point.
Plates:
This was my 4th visit and each time you are expected to ASK for plates. Bcos what they provide, and I must appreciate their love for animals, is more suitable for pets than humans. This time I thought they must have learnt the correct way and apparently not. They will continue to serve you in dog plates unless you ask for a dinner plate Remember that dinner plates are available by the plenty if you opt for their buffet.
Raitha:
Every desi knows that some yoghurt or chutney is served free with biryani. A small container and that too half full was served with a super sized biryani order. I asked for Raitha and the girl promptly served me another of such yoghurt container. Half plus half is one hence I finally got one small container of yoghurt chutney with a super sized biryani order. But note that if I had opted for the buffet I could have poured myself 10 times that yougurt quantity and I would be well within my rights.
Hint hint:
Do they want us to only try their buffet and not ala carte. Is buffet their money spinner?
Serving spoon:
Don't they have what them people say is commonsense to provide a serving spoon with biryani?
Ketchup:
This is beyond insane. Who does that? Serving fries without a drop of ketchup. Serving generous portions of leg and thigh with no ketchup, no sauce.
Drumstick and only drumsticks :
Have you tried their buffet chicken fry and realised its lots and lots of drumsticks and nothing but drumsticks. And it's no brainer that drumsticks are cheap.
There is still time, Bro. Smarten up. Wizen up. Else those 10 empty tables that you had, sadly, on a Saturday evening, will soon...
Read moreToday, I saw a post from House of Chicken stating that they offer a weekend buffet from 11 PM until 2 AM. Excited, I called them and booked a table for two at 1 AM. The person I spoke with confirmed my reservation.
However, around 12:30 AM, I received a call from them saying they would be closing at 1 AM—completely different from what their post had stated. Since we were already on our way, we asked if they could still accommodate us if we arrived by 12:45 AM. The staff member asked me to hold while she checked with her manager, then came back and confirmed it was okay.
Yet, when we arrived at 12:45 AM, the front desk representative told us that they could no longer provide the buffet, as the manager had denied the approval. This was extremely unprofessional, especially since we had already confirmed with the staff earlier. Their reasoning? The person who spoke to us “didn’t know” they couldn’t offer the buffet after 12:45 AM, which made no sense—especially after supposedly confirming with a manager.
To make matters worse, their poster clearly stated they were open until 2 AM, yet they closed at 1 AM instead, providing misleading information to customers. It was frustrating because we had planned for this buffet all day, only to be turned away at the last minute.
This is not the first time we’ve had a similar issue. Two weeks ago, we visited on a weekday for their buffet, only to find out that it was only available on weekends—something that wasn’t mentioned in their post at the time. While we brushed it off then and ordered from the regular menu, experiencing this twice now is truly unacceptable.
We always try to support local businesses, especially long-standing ones, by visiting and recommending them to friends. However, situations like this create a bad impression and make it hard to trust the business. We hope they take this feedback seriously and work on better communication and management to avoid disappointing customers...
Read moreToday was my families 4th visit to this place in the past two months, and sadly this will be our last visit to this place. Firstly, you have to commit at least 90 minute wait times if you want to eat here, whether it be for a couple people or a group.
Today i brought my entire family, a group of 16 guests, for which I made reservations two days in advance to arrive at the restaurant and our table not set up. After me and my guests waiting at the door for 10 minutes I finally took control and walked into the place and pulled three tables together to seat all my guests.
This was at 630pm that we all finally sat down. At this time there were only two other tables occupied with customers who had already been served their food.
Took another 15 minutes before the one server got to our table to take our orders. Its not a complicated menu.
Now 730p (45 minutes after ordering) finally food started rolling in bit by bit. By now there were also 5 other tables with new customers all waiting to be served. Of the 16 items that were ordered, 8 orders were wrong, and had to go back. Drinks that were ordered, came when most people were nearly finished eating and finally the quality of the food that was the reason i kept giving this place another chance, was terrible this time. Good was greasy, over fried and in some cases cold like was sitting around for a while.
Sadly even after expressing my disappointment to the owner, I got no sense that he even cared when I just spent nearly $300.
I sadly don't recommend this place as the passion to serve good food or service...
