Tried this place for the first time as a party of 7. I'd say it was just so-so. Some of it was good but there was a few things we weren't crazy about - mainly the pizza. The burrata appy was delicious and definitely unique. I would have liked the standard focaccia to come with chunky salt, oil and balsamic option. But instead it's just the bread. 3 of the 4 pizzas we ordered got a relatively warm reception. The best one was my son's plain cheese. It seemed like his crust was done differently than the rest. It was thinner and less tough than the other 3. I got bacon on my Hawaiian instead of ham. Big mistake. The bacon they use is big chunks of what almost seems like a breakfast ham/back bacon with layers of fat through it (see photo). It really made the pizza unappealing. None of us were crazy about the sauce. And the 3 adults did not care whatsoever for the pepperonatas - which is just a bunch of slimy slivers of red peppers thrown on top of each piece. For some reason, all 3 adults pizzas came with these on top -even though the menu didn't call for them. After trying them, we just pulled it all off. After 1-2 pieces, we all boxed up the pizzas. It's still sitting here in my fridge 5 days later. That's how much we didn't care for it. And the Wild Prawn Linguini my wife got was disappointing because of the small shrimps that I would not classify as a prawn and just not liking the flavor. The service started out rocky because our server arrived after 10 minutes and admitted to having no clue we were even seated and waiting. So there was definitely a breakdown in communication between the hostess and server. But once she arrived, it was fine. I can accept that these kinds of things happen. I just hope it's not a trend that others experienced as well. Maybe throw in a free appy next time for the wait?? The atmosphere was definitely lively. So after all of this, I can't see us returning. Maybe for a drink and appy if they had live music (which I'm not sure if they do that). But I think we gave the food a solid enough a try to come to the conclusion that it's just not our style.

We were on our way home from the Okanagon and stumbled on this gem in Delta. Located on a quiet and quaint street with shoppes and great curb appeal, we opted for patio seating. Our server Aili was prompt and friendly as was the entire service team there. The gnocchi with Burrata was perfectly cooked and the burrata complemented the sauce which had a spicy undertone. The lasagna took a bit longer (which she told us about in advance) but it was worth the wait. It was delicious and huge, essentially two meals in one. The Chicken Parmesan was also well prepared and served with Rigatoni and arugula salad. Everything there is scratch made and you can tell from the quality and authenticity. The kids pepperoni pizza was almost the size of a regular pizza and was perfectly made and delicious (it helped tide us over while we waited…) For dessert the Tiramisu and New York Cheesecake with caramel sauce and house made strawberry coulis rounded out a perfect meal and experience. Aili made some great recommendations and brought the kids food out first while the other dishes were being prepared. We will definitely come back and recommend this family friendly place for both the quality and value. 10/10

The area in which Il Posto is located can be hard to find parking. We came here based on other Goggle reviews. We were glad we did. They accomodated two adults and a newborn with a stroller during the dinner rush. We were initially told 30-35 minutes but we only had to wait about 10 minutes. The staff were friendly and the service was prompt. Average meal was abt $20 per person not including drinks. We got two pizzas and we were both happy with what we got. Food came out quickly. Staff checked in to make sure we were doing okay. Overall a positive experience and we think they might have some of the best pizza up there with Via Tevere and Nicli. With that being said, if we were in Ladner, we'd be more than happy to return! šŸ‘ŒšŸ‘

This place is always top notch. Great atmosphere, combined with amazing food. I can’t count how many times I’ve been here, but it’s been A LOT! There’s been one or two times where a dish hasn’t met the standards I know they strive for, they welcome the feedback and do everything to make it right. I grew up in the food service industry and it is so refreshing to know that good food and 10/10 service coexists still! Some favorites: Appetizers- Seasoned Ricotta Meatballs!!! (Must try!!!) Burrata (to die for, but definitely best for sharing!) Salad- Panzanella (I always order it sans olives!) Pizza- Fave is Italian Sausage (again sans olives) Patata is a runner up for me! So good!

Pasta- (okay here we go) In no particular order because these are my faves but they’re all so delicious. Lasagna (Massive portion! Never have I ever finished it, always have more than half for leftovers, it is amazing.) Chicken Parm! Oh so good, comes with pasta and some greens which makes it such a balanced meal. Also never been able to finish it! Always leftovers! Baked Mac and Cheese (newer addition to the menu and so welcomed!! I hope it never leaves the menu. Also a massive portion!)

Dessert: I’ve tried all of the desserts except the trio of sorbet… Hands down, the cheesecake is the best I’ve ever had. I am a massive fan of unbaked cheesecake and this dessert really tops it for me. It’s a massive slice, topped with berry compote and whip and a delicious puddle of caramel on the side of the plate! (Never have I ever been able to eat a slice by myself, I always share and am satisfied!) I encourage you to get a slice to bring home if you are too full for dessert at the restaurant! The brownie dish is also delightful. It’s slightly heavier. The tiramisu is amazing. I’ve tried a couple different feature desserts which have all been high quality, but really nothing beats the cheesecake.

I didn’t even get into reviewing the drinks yet, but I will say this: great selection of beer, wine and cocktails. And….my favorite drink is the alcohol free blackberry lemonade with added vodka!

Big shout out to Nicole (front Manager) and Julie (owner) for always making sure this place is pumping out the best food and the...

A group of 6 of us had a reservation here for 3 pm. We came specifically to Ladner to visit this restaurant. We showed up on time and we were told to wait outside as our table was not ready yet even though it wasn't very busy at the restaurant . A couple of minutes later, we were escorted to a table way off to the side in front of the Municipal Hall building. It was really odd but at first, we didn’t think anything of it. Shortly after we sat down, we looked up the menu using the QR code and noticed that pasta wasn’t available until 4 pm. When our server came over, we asked her if we were able to order at least a little earlier than 4 pm and she said she would check with the kitchen and let us know. In the meantime, we ordered the Sundried Tomato Tapenada, 2 Baked Focaccio and a beer. Shortly after, a server bought over the food and our server bought over the beer and asked if we decided what we want to eat and we again asked about the pasta and she said I will check with the kitchen. She came back around 3.35 pm and said the kitchen needs to prep until 4.30 pm so we couldn’t order pasta until then. We asked if we could order by 4 pm and get the pasta by 4.30 pm, and she replied "no…and actually, table reservations have a time limit" to which we asked how long and she replied ā€œI think she said an hour and a half.ā€ Therefore, we couldn’t even order pasta even if we waited. Needless to say, we left and had dinner elsewhere. When we were paying the bill, our server reluctantly apologized.

I'm not really sure why their menu says 4 pm, but you can’t order until 4.30 pm. That’s pretty ridiculous. Moreover than that, shouldn’t that be advertised on the main page so people don’t go there expecting pasta and get stuck with pizza and appetizers?! Anyways, we weren't very impressed with the experience and are highly unlikely to venture back out there...
