Sapporo Kitchen — Restaurant in Delta

It seems that it's recently that their service is horrible (according to the comments). Their food have been great but the service was awful. We politely asked them to assist in moving two tables together so we can sit together and the young server didn't respond verbally but just moved the tables and pouted. We even helped out to move it together but he was still with a straight face. When they put down our food, we also politely moved away the plates that are already on the table for them to put down our dishes, they didn't not say thank you at all and didn't even bother clearing the empty plates on the table. Fine, we just moved it to the end of the table ourselves. We asked for the bill, and they came with just the machine and didn't bother giving us an itemized receipt for review until we asked for one. He unwillingly printed out the itemized receipt from the machine and passed it to us in a rather rude manner. He stood there, looking at us to check the bill and made the payment. we had to enter the password to the machine and he didn't even bother looking away! One young server came after and asked if they can clear our some plates, then I told them we will be leaving soon (basically wanted to say you can clear the table after we leave). So he left. Then another younger server came right after to just collect the plates - I didn't even bother to tell him we're leaving. Then he came the second round taking the empty plates and simply asked those of us sitting inside 'can you give me the plates?'. We didn't even bother moving as I was already very pissed with their service. Please note that it was already almost 8pm, and they're closing at 8:30pm with a lot of empty tables plus 2-3 tables still dining at that moment. We went a couple nights ago since I was in Delta for a surgery, and wanted some Japanese food (and more than just sushi, for a change). Though next time I'm there, I may try something else from the menu, I was greatly pleased with both the Tonkotsu Ramen and the service. The custom green tea blend is like nine I've ever had before, and I'm disappointed that I probably won't be able to find or buy it elsewhere to make it at home, but that alone was worth the visit. The food wait for food wasn't very long, and tasted incredibly fresh, and the staff were very friendly and thanked everyone as they left, something I haven't seen at any other restaurant and shows they care about the customer experience.

Although it was slightly chilly inside, it wasn't too bad with a nice cup of tea and bowl of ramen, though had I had a long sleeve shirt I wouldn't have needed either. Then again, I am from the interior, and our winters are colder than Vancouver's, which explains why most locals had their winter jackets on during that cold snap.

The price seems more than fair, since few places I go to can fill me up for only $14, and I was well pleased with the serving size. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be sure to visit again. This place has easily become one of...

Stopped for lunch in this dope, mellow and modern vibe sushi joint. We got the Lunch Box B (veggie) and the Tofu Teryaki Lunch Bento Box (veggie), which were both super yummy, awesome value and a feast sharing between two people you definetely get a good bang for your buck. I'd recommend as a couple sharing two boxes so you get to share the best bits from each box. A great selection of delicious Japanese cuisine, caters well to vegetarians as well as offers an array of Japanese dishes on top of sushi such as Ramen, Yakisoba, Udon and Karaage. I love how the Lunch be to combos offer a variety of different stuff. Their green tea is DOPE! Tastes awesome and you can tell is homemade with great detail compared to mosh sushi parlors. Their miso soup also tasted homemade and not too salty which is always a big bonus. Only complaint is that the service was pretty slow and felt unnoticed as the servers was so busy and rushed.
