Niagara Pizza Ltd — Restaurant in Delta

I have been a guest at Niagara many times, but tonight's visit was the worst. I want to be clear, the food was very good, hot and fresh, so none of the rest of this review concerns the food quality. As stated I have been a guest at Niagara a number of times over the past 20 years, tonight myself and my friend were treat as an after thought. It started upon our arrival, we had made a reservation only to be made to feel like we were imposing. The table we were taken to had been set for 4 but "the people had not arrived so we could have the table." We knew what we were having and ordered immediately (we were sharing a medium pizza and a baked lasagna). Neither of us want anything other than water, I guess that was our first mistake not ordering alcohol. Our pizza arrived in the appropriate amount of time but no lasagna, we ended up having to ask and then we had to wait for the garlic bread. At no time did someone come by to ask how our meals were, but we noted that the large parties were being fawned over by 3 or 4 service staff, not professional at all. I was not happy. We were not offered desert or coffee, instead we were brought take away containers and 2 candies were DROPPED on the table and were asked "one cheque or 2?". As the fellow walked away my friend commented that a cup of coffee would be nice. When the fellow came back with the cheques my friend asked politely for a cup of coffee, he never apologized that we had not been asked.....just walked away. And to note all our dirty dishes were still on the table! He came back with coffee and the cheques. After 10 minutes another fellow walked by and said " oh you want to pay?" Another 10 minutes and we had to request to pay, at that time I commented that I was having the worst experience and was not happy. The waitress, nor anyone else asked why.....finally we paid. My tip reflected my disappointment.

In this day and age when restaurants have an expectation of a minimum of 18% Gratuities the management better be ensuring that the 18% is deserved. I refuse to pay for poor guest services. I work and have worked in customer facing businesses for years, sometimes for minimum wage and I do not receive tips other than how to do my job better. I pick and choose carefully the restaurants I want to spend my money at, tonight's experience has given me reason to take a restaurant off my list. Always remember, word of mouth travels...

Want to get scammed? Go to this restaurant. My parents had gone here a month ago with 3 friends and came back raving about how good the food was. On September 2nd, 6 of us went for an early dinner. We ordered 2 appetizers and everyone ordered an entrée; the server did not write any of this down. When we received the food, one pizza which was meant to be medium was given as a large (nice quick way to make an extra $5). When asked about this she said my mistake I will take care of that we assumed we would get charged for a medium! After bringing out the food, we noticed one entire meal was missing and assumed it was on the way. In this time, my father ate some of the appetizers and a piece of pizza from my mothers pizza. When the server finally came back we mentioned the missing pasta but insisted we did not need it and it was okay. Her exact words were "I will bring it 6 to 7 minutes, I take full responsibility for it". Again, we insisted we did not need it but she pushed and said she will bring it. We assumed she meant she would remove the charge from the bill as it was her mistake. Upon receiving our bill, not only were we charged for a large pizza when a medium was ordered but we were also charged for the pasta we kept insisting we did not need that was originally forgotten by the server. When my father went to pay the bill, he wasn't planning on saying anything but she asked how eveything was. He mentioned the pizza size being wrong (her fault) resulting in us paying $5 more and also mentioned the pasta and how we insisted we didnt want it but she had insisted saying she will take sull responsibility. She responded by saying it was my responsibilty, dont tip me. But the owners won't agree to any removing the charge for a full meal. Moral of the story, if you're dining here and the server messes up the order, send it back otherwise she WILL pin the cost of her...

I returned for my second visit and was once more simply blown away at this gem of a old school Greek Food/Pizza restaurant! Let me begin by saying I was not in the mood the first visit so, I ordered a Greek Salad - it was great, generous including a hand full of black olive with pits! My wife ordered a Pizza so, I grabbed a slice and OMG - I was 23 years old again and the pizza floored me - it was tasty, well put together, great cheese and lovely sauce. This is a must return! I plan on doing so very soon. On our second visit we ordered th Pizza and Large Greek salad again - it was that satisfying! Prices are very reasonable, food is excellent, service is excellent and the place is clean - we love it. We live in South Side of Vancouver and it was a 15 minute drive and there is no charge for parking. It's a tag tricky to find but, worth the trip and worth the food! Enjoy!

Return trip to Niagara pizza for their flagship pizza (substitute green peppers for pineapple) and the Greek Salad and once again May 9th, it was fantastic! This makes it our 4th trip from South Vancouver area to Langley for Pizza and it's great as usual - we were wanting to have the highly recommended Back Ribs but, they were out so next time we'll go a little earlier or perhaps phone ahead. Still, we were perfectly happy with just shared...
