I will be as fair as I can. We dined-in 6pm Sunday evening as we are in a habit of supporting family owned restaurants in our city. There were only another couple at the restaurant who are almost done and are about to leave. So in short, my wife and I are the only customers in the restaurant at that moment. We are courteously given 2 glasses of water together with the menu... would be better if it was followed by a nice "hello/good evening" gesture. They are not rude, but not pleasant either.
We are starving and ready to order. Unfortunately, we have to catch their attention to let them know we are ready. The servings came in not long after. Food is okay but the portions you get for what you pay is not acceptable. Expensive to say the least. Isang platitong inihaw na liempo costs us $18.75, Pancit Canton for $16.50 (good for 1 person).
At this point we are THE ONLY CUSTOMER inside the restaurant, yet our glasses of water wasn't re-filled and not one crew passed by to check on us if everything's okay.
When we were done and ready to pay, we are waiting if they would at least take a glance on us. I guess we can just storm out and they wouldn't even notice. I finally just called their attention and paid my bill shortly. Again, WE ARE THE ONLY CUSTOMER PRESENT THAT TIME.
Food portions and service really need to improve. I dont mind paying a premium so long as it...
Read moreReally Bad customer service in Kumare Richmond Since dining is restricted, I called to order for takeout the day before Motherâs day as I knew it was going to be busy. I called shortly after to change the pick up time half an hour earlier which was acknowledged. I have to reiterate... one of the staff members said it was ok. The next day, I was there at 11am, the time I had changed to (originally it was at 11:30am). I was told to wait several times without anyone even explaining what was happening. They knew I didnât speak Tagalog but I understood pretty well when they were talking between themselves saying âwhen you change your time, you lose your order!â. It was soooo unprofessional. I didnât get any explanation or any apologies at all, at all!!! I waited half an hour and got my order at 11:30am. To think I even tipped them beforehand when they did NOT deserve thatl. I understand that Mothers day is a busy day but do you really have to treat your paying customers this way??? Take out is the only business that restaurants have (if no patio seating), thatâs it, thatâs all you have to do - very brief interaction with your customers and you donât even do it well. I really like crispy pata but I think I will just get it from Pinpin or Little Ongpin next time. If you donât mind tactlessness and unprofessionalism,...
Read moreThis is probably the most underrated filipino restaurant in Delta and in just Greater Vancouver Area overall. To be honest, I donât understand why they have low ratings. Some people in here just probably have high expectations when they come when its just a casual dine in restaurant. Overall this restaurant is highly recommended. Their food just hits the spot and hugs you with great filipino comfort food. I definitely recommend their pinakbet, crispy pata and bbq! Its just so good and you need to try it. Their food really taste authentic and flavourful. The servers are also very warm and welcoming where it makes you feel at home in the Philippines. And even the kitchen staff are also very friendly and always smiling. I definitely recommend this restaurant...
