Henrietta’s Pine Bakery has been open for longer than I’ve been alive, and it’s easy to see from the quality of their baked goods why it has stood the rest of time. This location is the newer of the two locations, and accommodates larger parties than the original Dwight location. Locals and tourists come here for the great selection of bread, sticky buns, cookies, and other baked goods. They also have a great selection of beverages including coffees and teas. We stopped at this Huntsville location on the way home from Algonquin Park as the Dwight location didn’t have the pie I wanted. It turns out their apple pie is hugely popular as it was sold out at this store too. We ended up purchasing a strawberry rhubarb pie instead. Staff were friendly and helpful, and suggested calling ahead or pre-ordering the apple pie as options in the future. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area.

Very quiet spot... service is quick... love that they always bring my coffee and selected pastry to my table.

We had an Oktoberfest-themed wedding in Huntsville and wanted to serve apple strudel in lieu of wedding cake. We took our strudel selection very seriously—so seriously that we embarked on the noble (and delicious) task of sampling several apple strudels to find the one. After just one bite of Henrietta's strudel, we knew our search was over. In fact, I said yes to the strudel before I said yes to the dress! It is generously filled with deliciously spiced apple filling, the pastry is delicious and not too thick, and my favourite part is the crunchy sugar granules on top. It's the best apple strudel I've ever had and got rave reviews from my guests. 10/10, would get married again just for another excuse to eat this strudel. We will surely be back for another slice whenever we're in Muskoka.

I visited Henrietta's after years of hearing about it and passing by the Dwight location on the way to Algonquin park. The interior is clean and has a cozy, rustic sort of look. I went in to try the sticky buns primarily and anything else that caught my eye. The selection of offerings was pretty good, breads, danishes, cookies, Nanaimo bars, sandwiches etc. I ended up buying sticky buns, a couple danishes and oatmeal raisin cookies. I didn't love the sticky buns. I think most people would like them, I prefer mine slightly less baked, but that's just me. The danishes I did love. Perfectly baked. Sweet. I would enjoy these again. The cookies I bought for my parents and they said they enjoyed them. The service was great. Friendly guy behind the counter made conversation while packing up my order and didn't rush me out the door. I would recommend and would like to visit again to try the other offerings.

Update: I was in Huntsville and paid a visit yesterday July 23. I was there at 11:30 am and walked out empty handed. There was almost nothing to choose from. I'm not sure if maybe I came at a bad time but it there was like 6 honey buns, 1 Lemon Danish, just an assortment of 1 of each item. Disappointing. Next time I'm I. Huntsville I will be back and will try earlier if possible. Their danishes ...

This place has a very cozy feel and a nice selection of baked treats. However, their sandwiches are quite expensive for how much you get and the quality; they are the only thing there that doesn't have the price listed. The servers were trying to be pleasant but they completely ignored my partner when they were trying to order (they were the only person waiting). They also did not know the flavours of the unmarked items on display. Instead of being honest or checking, 2 different servers told us 2 different flavours for 1 item, and they were also wrong about something I bought (told me it was a coffee cake, but it was a glazed blueberry cinnamon pastry). The brownie, pastry, and coffee we got ended up being pretty subpar, which was disappointing because I have been here before and enjoyed other items...
