Starbucks — Restaurant in District Municipality of Muskoka

I am amending my original review. My first review still stands however this location has gone down hill since then. It takes them over 30 mins to make a beverage. Doesn't matter if you do mobile ordering or go in. Also they are only open 9 - 4. And that's if they even stay open that long! It has been my experience to arrive at 2 and they are closed. I will be surprised if this location stays open. Management and head office really need to take control of this. Usually get good service here, however the last few times I've done mobile ordering they have gotten it wrong. Usually it's a case of 2 tea bags when I've asked for one. This time not only was there 2 tea bags in my tea it was the wrong kind. The barista asked if I like her to make me a new one, I said yes and then proceeded to make it with the wrong tea again. When I pointed it out to her she asked if I wanted her to make me another one. Nice offer but if it was made right the first time I wouldn't have had to wait, and really didn't want to wait again! I use to love to go for a treat. But the last 3 times were a bad experience. First time got there and waited for service for 10 minutes while the girl kept saying in a minutes. So I left with out my order of cappuccino and gluten free rice crispy treats. Next issue went durning the week just past 1:30 p.m. on,y to find it was already closed! The last straw, Got there last Saturday saw cars in drive through and figured great I could get my treat! Well lo and behold the store doors were closed with sign to dine in at Bracebridge, really drive from Huntsville to Bracebridge ridiculous. I refuse to go through a drive through as I don’t want to idle my vehicle and also I just like to go inside and wait. Frankly something needs to be addressed here. Possible closure maybe moving into the mall. Get more staff! For the question bellows I could not get anything but will check as if I was in store and time of day. Eat. P.s. where you are now does not have enough parking I usually park in plaza and walk over. Also more gluten free options...

That day I bought a black from both McDonald's and Starbucks. I expected the Starbucks to be a darker roast and a stronger brew than the McDonald's. I bought the McDonald's first so at tasting time it has cooled down a bit more than the Starbucks. I tasted it with a friend that had a preconceived notion that the McDonald's would be superior.

What we found surprised me. We both found the Starbucks had a bit of a bitter taste like a coffee that had been sitting on a hotplate for too long. It passed over to the aroma too. That meant that the McDonald's tasted better just because it didn't taste overcooked!

The Starbucks cost double what the McDonald's cost.

I can't really accept this taste test without redoing it to see if the Starbucks should really taste that way. My theory is that they are new so they are selling more espresso based drinks and the coffee based drinks sales were to low as a result which caused the burning. I went thru the drive thru so I couldn't see.
