Wish there is 0 star!!! Absolutely ruined my mother's day!
I had ordered a mother's day cake and one bread for pick up on mother's day. I had received the confirmation and the money was took from my credit card.
However, when I went to the store (Marché de l'Ouest) to pick up my order, the staff told me my order was cancelled?! She said they had called"me" in the morning and because "I" didn't answer the phone so they had cancelled my order! They are lying!!!
First of all, I don't know who they called because I didn't receive any call at all! ( I showed her my call history and she couldn't find their number).
Secondly, I have a voice mail and no message had left me. If they really called me they could leave a message to tell me that my order was cancelled. But nothing!
Thirdly, I didn't receive any email or message to tell me my order was cancelled. When I go to my account, there is only a message tell me my order was accepted!
When I spoke to the manager,he told me I need to call their store back on Monday to ensure they had processed the refund! It's look like that's all my fault!
They took my money, cancelled my order without any notice! Now I'm responsible to make sure I will get the refund! When they cancelled my order why they didn't issue me a refund at the same time?! No logic at all!!!
Really disappointed !!! Shame on...
Read moreWas my go to place to pick up Creme Brulee. I would purchase 4 at at time and accumulate the returnable dishes to return at a later time.
First let's talk about the quality, definitely has gone downhill. The last batch I purchased must have been a few days old...the top crust was soggy. Of course, noticed only when I get home....and it's just a hassle to bring back. Plus, I would expect little to no customer service based on my next point...
Last time I brought back the Creme Brulee dishes, they denied half my batch; stating they were not purchased from Premier Moisson. They turn them around and point out that it's not stamped with their name. Wow...of course I searched the city to find IDENTICAL DISHES, spent MORE on these dishes than the actual REFUND offered by PM. Unbelievable! And of course they explained this to me in front of everyone and loud enough that their clients think I'm trying to scam PM. Shame on you PM!
There are MUCH better bakeries in the West Island, and there are other choices just in the Marche alone. Still trying to find a new place for my Creme Brulee's and still stuck with their dishes! I will avoid...

At the ‘Marché de l’Ouest, in the West Island of Montreal, there are two bakeries. One is ''Boulangerie du Marché de l’Ouest '' et the second is refered on line as 'Boulangerie du Marché de l’ouest- Première Moisson '– I know – a bit confusing, Indeed. The first one,' Boulangerie du Marché de l’Ouest' , the shop closest to the main entrance is excellent. Unfortunately, they have no web site. Fortunately, the pie was very good. Good point for this bakery. This review is about the second one: 'Boulangerie du Marché de l’Ouest- Première Moisson' - They are accessible online or by phone. The problem is that you order a pie for 8 (eight) persons- At pick-up, you get a pie for 4 (four) persons at the price of a pie for 6 (six) persons. Do the math and see who is who wins: neither the customer nor the 8 guests waiting...
