I sent my husband to go buy salmon for Sashimi. I told him to ask the store clerks and they would advise him which piece is best for sashimi. He comes home and the pieces they sold him where basically the skin and fat low parts of the fish (not even 1 inch from skin). There was nothing I could salvage to make sashimi or anything with those tiny pieces not even an inch from the skin. Anyway, i went back to tell them, to show them what they sold and it should have been the belly part of it. They got so aggressive. I told them that I'm not here for a fight but if you are in a place like Marche de L'Ouest, you should be more honest with your customers, if you didn't have what he was looking for just say sorry sir we don't have that piece right now. I have to basically throw out in the garbage what you sold me. When he heard me use the word garbage another clerk got diffensive without hearing the context and I let him know i didn't mean garbage as in your food is garbage but that I meant that it would go to the garbage now - I'm not a rude person at all. He told me it's a ''you problem'' and all customers eat sashimi like that (a lie, there was nothing to salvage there for sashimi) I was getting aggravated how he was telling me something that is just not true and told me to get out of his store. I was shook!!! who permits themselves to speak like that ??? Would never go back, don't recommend to anyone and a shame they're even located in such a gem. RUDE beyond words, immature, classless and DISHONEST! At some point, you bite your tongue and learn how to treat your customers instead of arguing for the sake of it. Shameful.
Edit: Again a lie, they didn't offer me anything and I left the fish on the counter that i froze because i came the following weekend since i have young kids and didn't have time to come by the week, I didn't throw fish at the lobster tank. Another lack of maturity to exaggerate this way. This could have been solved within the first 2 minutes of our conversation. This will...
Read moreyou guys ever heard of clam juice? yeah me neither, but they have it here if you're feeling thirsty
i tried ordering one of the cheaper options on the menu (fish n chips), which was not available at the time. the man at the front suggested i get the grilled dorade royale as it was the special of the day, and how could i possibly say no???
brought it home to find out i was given a plastic fork and knife. don't worry guys, you'll only be needing a fork to demolish the food because they cook that fish to PERFECTION. whatever they use on the fish for flavouring (marinade or seasoning), i need that INJECTED directly into my veins (that's how good it is)
