We were looking for a place to eat food after 10pm while visiting Montreal for work, we did not realize that everything closed so early.
We were so happy to see a light up open sign, even happier when we walked in and saw the menu.
The items on the menu looked very intriguing and we asked some questions, and we're extremely happy to find the staff were happy to speak English to us to explain some things.
We ordered and the food came quickly and smelled amazing.
We got takeout and got back to the hotel to eat and were happy to find out the food was just as good as it smelled.
The pizza was very tasty, the vegetables tasted fresh, the wings were tasty and a little undersauced (for my liking), but probably good for most people.
The fries came with packs of ketchup & mayonnaise which my European coworker was happy to get.
The dessert poutine was basically what I expected but I was too full to be able to really enjoy it that night, the next day I only ate a bit because the French toast stick "fries" were too greasy/soggy, but the ones I tried that night were very good.
Overall I would absolutely go back to this location and eat at Pizza Salvatore again in the future, keep up...

UPDATE: I don't know what happened, but this place fell hard from how they used to be. There have been setbacks in every aspect of their food, but the poutines are the biggest loss for me since that was my favorite.
They used to have 4 sizes, with the medium being $11 and large being $13. Now they took out the biggest size, the medium is their "large" and it's now a whopping $20. I get prices have gone up everywhere, but come on.
The poutine itself is a far cry from how it was even last year. They used to pack the round trays fully and even go a bit over, having to force the lid down. Just really good portions. Now they barely even load up the tray, and put so little sauce that it's dry.
This is about the DDO location. Their poutine has been exceptional which is why I went for it a lot. Please, just bring it back...
Read moreThe food: The most bland, uninspired pizza ever. It's filling but has no actual flavor. We all ate one slice and the rest was leftover. Probably the worst 'chain' I've tasted. ANY of the $2 slices downtown are vastly better, for real.
The service: they send coupons in the mail that you can't redeem online or by calling. I called and was told I'd have to drive to the store to use my coupon.
The weird: Phone calls are answered in a call center in France!?! So don't bother calling if you want to speak English. I've read many other reviews voicing the same, French-only concern. So why the heck would they CHOOSE the west island if they don't want to speak English? Very dumb.
A couple days later, it was late and I had the munchies so I warmed-up a slice one of the leftover slices. Couldn't finish it and threw out the rest. It's food, it's filling and you can eat it but it's not 'good'.
See pic. The last 3 slices in the garbage, along with 1/2 of the slice I re-heated and...
