McDonald's — Restaurant in Dorval

McDonald’s is always consistent, which is honestly one of its biggest selling points. You know exactly what you’re getting no matter where you are. I ordered a Big Mac Meal with fries and a Coke. The burger was fresh, the special sauce hit just right, and the fries were perfectly crispy and salty. Bonus points for being piping hot! The Coke here tastes better than anywhere else—classic McDonald's fountain magic.

One minor downside: the nuggets I got for my kiddo were slightly overcooked. They weren’t bad, but I’ve definitely had better on other visits. Service was surprisingly quick considering how busy it was. The cashier was polite, smiled, and got my order 100% correct, which doesn’t always happen at fast food places. The team behind the counter seemed well-organized, and my food was ready in under five minutes.

However, the drive-thru line looked a little chaotic, so if you’re in a rush, I recommend heading inside instead.

The dining area was clean, and the seating was comfortable for a quick bite. This particular McDonald’s had a small kids' play area, which was a huge plus for families. The vibe was energetic but not overly loud. One thing to note: the bathroom could use a little more attention—it wasn’t dirty per se, but it wasn’t spotless either.

McDonald’s remains one of the most affordable options out there. My entire meal for three (Big Mac meal, 10-piece nuggets, and a McChicken) came out to around $20. Considering the portion sizes and taste, it’s a fantastic value.

Terrible experience literally every night. I’m a very big regular at McDonald’s, I probably go every 2nd or 3rd day. For context, I’ve been a Wendy’s GM for over 3 years so I know what I’m talking about. Out of the maybe 10 uber orders I’ve placed with you guys in the past few months, over half have been just completely wrong Ubers. And when you call either nobody answers or they tell you to go through uber for refund (which doesn’t work most of the time now because I have to refund too often and they won’t issue any more to me). And it’s not even like I’m just being a Karen and complaining either, like I ordered 2 quarter pounders, with just ketchup. Both come all dressed. Then the order previous to this one was just someone else’s order. Then I ordered a McDouble and it came as a junior burger 1 patty with just cheese on it. Like if you’re understaffed I understand, but this just can’t happen EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. like it’s literally like I’m lighting my money on fire with this restaurant cuz I won’t get the right food, nor a refund. They just hand me anything in a bag. Ordered 2 quarter pounders tonight, and ordered Big Mac sauce on the side, and no sauce on the burgers. Very nice atmosphere, including fireplace. It would be nice if the chairs wouldn't make such scraping noises which reverberate and detract from the relaxed atmosphere. The chairs are awkward to pick up off the floor to move. Maybe nylon caps against the floor would help? We were at the Galerie des Sources location on a Friday evening around 5 pm. I had not been to a McD's in a few years and was pleasantly surprised when the young woman serving us gave us something to put on our table with our order number allowing us to find a place and settle in while our meal was prepared. It was brought to us within a reasonable 5-10 minutes. We took a leap of faith and ordered the Filetofish. The meal was very good considering my trepidation. A lightly breaded square of fish (a real section of fish, i.e. NOT mashed with potatoes, etc) with half a slice of cheese, and tarter sauce on a steamed bun. It was surprisingly good. Quite tender. The cheese was not offensive with the fish which is what I had anticipated. While good, I would have preferred the option of adding some sort of flavor boosting or enhancing condiment.
