I travel to Northwest Ontario quite often for work, especially Dryden. My go to is the PI Family Restraunt, always good food there. However this time I wanted to try something different and after a long day at work decided to try Chinese. Found a menu online, called them up and ordered a Cantonese chow mein and a kung Pao chicken. The lady on the phone was very kind so that’s why I gave 4 stars for service. Now one thing I must say is that these portions are very generous. Massive containers so value is there… however I refuse to eat more than a handful of bites as this is the most bland, flavorless Chinese I have ever eaten. The kung Pao chicken was in a almost clear type of sauce, I’d think it was water to be honest but thicker… peas, carrots, mushrooms and onions but somehow can’t differentiate any of the flavours. And then chow mein - pork, chicken, shrimp and beef… again zero flavour. I believe in second chances but I unfortunately won’t be giving this restraint another shot. $56...

Service here was very good pleasant and friendly. Thank you Chicken balls had a good amount of chicken in them they were ok otherwise Sweet and sour sauce was very good just a little thin. My chicken fried rice looked like 3/4 was refried in comparison to my grand daughter that looked freshly cooked. She said it was kind of dry as well as mine The little pork things on the #7 meal a bit dry. Eggroll first bite tasted like eggroll second bite not so. I wont say what i said to my gd After we left !! I dipped rest into ss sauce Gd said her shrimp were great Overall not at all a good first impression on food quality. Except the shrimp. Read moreWe used to love going to Hong Kong restaurant. The food is delicious. Nice servings of food. I'm disappointed that they don't have the buffet anymore. We were told that it isn't affordable for them to put on the buffet after the pandemic but Ho Ho's have continued to put on their buffets every weekend. Can't figure that one out. As well, we've tried ordering numerous times, by phone and dine in and have been refused service by the one waitress saying that they're too busy and they won't be taking any more orders. The sign says they're open until 7 but it wasn't even 6:00 and we were turned away. And it wasn't busy. There was empty clean tables waiting for customers. We love your food but unfortunately after the last recent visit, we won't be back. Not until the one waitress, she knows who she is, is gone. If you can't treat your customers properly, then it's time to retire. Happy retirement. You know...
