McDonald's — Restaurant in East Gwillimbury

I wish I could give this review no star. At approximately 11p.m on Friday night I had a extremely bad experience with the manager at this location her name is Maria my order was made wrong in drive thru so I came back and asked for a refund for something I ordered but the location did not have yet I still paid for they decided to give me something totally different thinking I wouldn’t notice. Maria (the manager) was extremely unprofessional and treated her staff like they weren’t human beings. I advise her that it was not the employees fault but she insisted that she’ll have a talk with them when I finally asked her for her name she gave it to me right away then said something extremely foul in Filipino thinking I wouldn’t understand what she said she also said in a very rude manner “I don’t have to give you my name” so I reviewed some simple rules with her that are standard procedure at any Mc Donald’s or place of work;I also told her that she is supposed to be wearing a name tag so I wouldn’t even have to directly ask her which she failed to have. As I looked for my bank card she shut the drive thru window and walked away for 6 mins while I waited for someone to return to process the return

I would never go back to this location and neither should you unless you want to be disrespected by someone who is there to resolve problems not create bigger ones.

Maria needs to take a training course on how to treat her own staff and customers and should definitely be demoted I’m sure there are far better candidates that won’t use foul language in there native tongue when they are trying to resolve a issue I hope that Maria can find peace and I truly hope that someone in a higher position reads this review and looks into the wellbeing of the employees who...

Asain older lady (Filipino or Cambodian) who is on nights is always very rude. Lies about making the order right, when i show her the sanwhich right to her face and says to me"you didnt say you wanted the sandwhich like that sir" it was late and i was tired and ready to go home.

Another incident i order a mcflurry with extra oreo which she proceeded to charged me an extra $1 for had no extra mcflurry and refused to add more.

Another incident i order mcflurries for my children after they went to bed i decided to go purchase one for myself as i got the craving lol (this was about 2-3 hours later) and the same asain lady said that the machine was broken? I asked what happened i order them a couple hours ago and she begins to yell and say " THE MACHINE IS BROKEN SIR I CANT GIVE YOU ONE WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?" I then told her to forget it and i went to the McDonald's at yonge and dawson manor in front of the Canadian tire. They are always very friendly and make sure they get your order right. And dont make you feel like your the one who ordered it that way when you know how you like your food.

I can go on for about 4 more incidences but im tired and ready to go to bed from late shift.

DO NOT GO TO THIS MCDONALD'S WHEN THAT ASAIN LADY IS THERE TAKE THE EXTRA 5 MIN AND DRIVE TO THE ONE DOWN THE ROAD.

Ordered the 'protein hack' at McDonald's which is a Big Mac with nothing on it but an egg. The last time I ordered from this location the egg was free. It was also free the last two times at the Leslie and Davis location. Today they wanted to charge me $2 for the egg. Given I'm not taking the cheese, lettuce, 1 pc of bun, and whatever else comes on a regular Big Mac I don't think there should be a charge for the egg. The manager informed me I would be charged in the future. There is a You Tube video showing this 'protein hack' and it seems to imply the egg is free. The manager informed me that that may apply to the US but it's not free in Canada. Furthermore, I ordered bbg sauce which they forgot and then wanted to charge me 25cents +tax. As that would mean breaking $20 I was going to put it on VISA but a lady behind me kindly gave me 35 cents to pay for it. McDonald's then relented and gave it for free to make-up for their order mistake. I'm already taking heat from my gym friends for eating McDonald's unhealthy food so this hassle just exacerbates trying to get something good to eat at Mickey D's.
