Tucked away near the old airport neighborhood, Bangkok Hot Pot isn't your flashy, trendy spot. And thank goodness for that! It's the kind of place that feels like a warm hug and a friendly trip abroad all at once. The vibe is a beautiful, no-frills slice of a traditional Thai or Chinese eatery, delightfully welcoming from the moment you step through the door. By the time I left at 6:30 p.m., the small place was absolutely buzzing and packed with people—a true testament to its popularity and well-earned reputation.
I was greeted by the most charming "grandpa" who acts as the unofficial hot pot guru, guiding newbies with a kind smile and offering invaluable advice. This personal touch elevates the experience, making you feel more like a guest in his home than a paying customer.
The real star, of course, is the all-you-can-eat buffet. What a spectacular sight! The photo-worthy selection of ingredients is a vibrant display of culinary potential. There's a glorious array of fish balls, beef balls, and an astounding variety of fresh, thinly sliced meats. Beyond the usual suspects, I was thrilled to see a bounty of fresh vegetables, delicate mushrooms, and noodles I've never encountered in any local grocery store. This commitment to variety and whole, fresh ingredients makes for a meal that feels both indulgent and nourishing. You can easily build a bowl brimming with lean proteins and a rainbow of veggies, making it a delicious choice for a healthy and hearty feast.
I happily stuffed my face with a little bit of everything, relishing the ability to customize each bite. The quality of the food was excellent, and the sheer number of choices ensures you'll never have the same hot pot twice.
Bangkok Hot Pot is more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience. It’s a place where genuine hospitality and a commitment to wholesome, flavorful food simmer together in a delightful broth. If you’re looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a fun, authentic, and truly satisfying meal, this is the place. Come for the food, stay for the feeling—it’s a hot...
Read moreThe service and food here was unsatisfactory. Most of the seafood and protein balls were frozen and dry. It was made of cheap and bad quality. We had been eating for almost 30 minutes, yet, we still hadn’t got our water when he passed by our table a few times. We asked for water almost an hour after eating, and it felt as if we were causing him an inconvenience by asking. Water is supposed to be served the moment you seat at a table, but I guess not here unless you ask.
He barely refills the beef, and when he does, portions are stingy. Knowing that most people go for hotpot for beef, it feels as if you are waiting for luck to get a portion of it. It seems like he does it on purpose to control how much people eat. He would always watch people getting food and would look at you judgy when you ate a lot (not to mention it is an eat-all-you-can restaurant). The price for an adult is around 27 bucks, but I would rather eat at other hot pot restaurants with much better quality food and service (you only pay an extra 5 bucks at other restaurants, but way way better than eating here).
If you are starving and want to enjoy your eat-all-you-can experience with good quality food and service, I don’t recommend this place. 80% of the protein is not fresh, low quality and frozen seafood, fewer choices for veggies, and stingy refills for food leaving you waiting for a longer time. Not...
Read moreI am going to rate this a 4 for now, because I am a fan, and I will be back.
It's located in a tiny little strip mall in the middle of no-where! I had no idea it was even there, and it's right in my neighborhood.
It's a one price, "all you can eat" kind of affair. It is the cleanest restaurant I think I have ever seen!
Obviously family run. You are very well taken care of here.
My Dad tells me that they have the best selection of items here. We tried two different kind of broths; the Tom Yum and the Satay. Both were very good.
Its' kind of up to you after that... There are plenty of meats, vegetables and noodles to choose from.
The tables are very cool! They have a sunken recess where your "soup" is put to simmer. Bright and cheerful lime green!
There is a 2 hour maximum stay for your dining experience. There is parking located right out front, and on the street.
We came when it was relatively quiet. They are open quite late. I am sure it could be very noisy when it is busy. Everyone else in the place looked like they were really enjoying...
