BD Donair and Poutine — Restaurant in Edmonton

This is a very sad review for me to post. It’s not about the food or the recipes at BD Donair (which all actually belong to me), it’s about the character of the 3 owners of this restaurant. Please read on...

The Owners of BD Donair - Sadaat, Mahbub and Salam used to work in my restaurants (PrimeTime Donair). They were foreign workers who were hired under the LMO program. I employed them, supported them, respected them, trusted them and treated them like family for many, many years. The three eventually earned permanent residency in Canada, and I was so happy for them. Two of them decided to move on. Sadaat started working at Walmart as a manger and Mahbub started working at a hotel. They were trying to get ahead and they could make more money in those fields, and so we gave them our whole hearted blessing and wished them the best of luck. However envy and greed soon entered their hearts.

All 3 of these guys benefited from the generosity of my family, and were given an honoured place among all of our employees. They thanked us for everything we did for them By STEALING all of our recipes, and CLONING all of our concepts and opening their own replica restaurant less than 2 kilometres from ours.

When I say we treated these guys like family, I mean it. We gave them extra bonuses To send to their poor families back home, (and we did that all the time), we gifted one of them a car to drive, we gave lavish wedding gifts to another. We always treated these guys like they were our own blood, and so for them to stab us in the back like this...well, it hurts! These guys are not just job strealing immigrants, they’re idea stealers too!

I hate to write this review, but the truth should be known. These guys are thieves and rip offs, and their bad karma will eventually come back to bite them!

Edited: I cannot believe all the lies you said on your response to me. You guys have no shame.

Firstly, you stole my sweet sauce recipe, my garlic sauce recipe, my tatziki sauce recipe, my chicken donair marinade, my hand made burger recipe...and now you are using those exact items at your shop. So don't say "everyone know how to make Donair"...no they don't! You are making more trouble for yourself in the next life by constantly lying about this, at least have some respect and stay silent. You don't need to lie!

Secondly, what wage are you complaining about? We always paid you all exactly what the LMO letter said, and we gave you bonues on top of that! Stop pretending and lying to people that we did not. This is a complete lie, and your creator is watching and will judge you for this.

Also, our LMO workers did not stay because they got PR. No foreign workers stay with the fast food company after they get PR. You guys know that! After you get PR you are supposed to upgrade to a better job, which 2 of you did. The other one stayed until he quit so you can open your copy cat restaurant. But instead of being happy to be in Canada and working at your new jobs, you all joined together to steal our recipes and open your shop.

We never thought of LMO workers as slaves. We kept you in our own home when you could not find apartment. We loaned Mahbub 5000 dollars so he can go and get married, and instead of paying us back that loan he gave us our same car back that he bought from us at a discount. We gave Sadat a free SUV, and you are correct, we took it back when we realized you were all snakes, but our kindness was always there, do no lie to the people and pretend that we were mean to you. You are just trying to make people take your side even though you know that you stole our recipes and our concepts.

I swear to God that everything I have written here is the truth. Why don't you guys swear to God that you didn't steal the recipe? And if either of us is lying may God send that peson to hell. So come on? Swear to God if you can? You will all be punished in the next life for these lies. You stole our recipes. Even if you don't admit it, God knows. And he will punish you for...

Tried their different items several times. Did not want to write review after the first try just because to see the consistency of their quality and service standard. After each time I got amazed by their great food quality and awesome customer services. Foods are really super delicious and fresh. Never comparable to others.
