Quiznos — Restaurant in Edmonton

I'm sorry in advance, but hopefully the owners will see this review and reconsider their priories and generally how they operate. I quite like quiznos in general, but I will not return to this location even though I work nearby and eat out for lunch often. The people in this location are petty and for that reason I won't go back. They never participate in any quiznos special offers, which is disappointing. Their front door is plastered with a sign reading the washroom is only for paying customers (this seems so unnecessary, there are many other options nearby). And today the last straw, i dared ask to substitute the mayo for a different sauce on the $5 daily deal sandwich, and when i got to the till they charged me full price (almost 50% additional to the cost) and when i asked about it he proceeded to bite my head off that I was actually ordering a different sandwich. After his unwarranted rant about all the other customers asking for the same thing, he reluctantly agreed to honor the deal. I have no doubt their business has gone downhill since a number of alternate fast food options have opened nearby. However, the obvious penny pinching mentality (to the extreme of being unreasonable and to the detriment of the customer service) is probably driving even more...

Horrible customer service from the very start. Asked the worker (who later claimed to be the owner) about the daily specials which she said they do not do as it is "money out of our pockets". It was unfortunate as that was the reason we went there and frequent other locations around the city and have never been disappointed. She was very cheap when adding meat to the sub that we ordered along with the other toppings. When confronted about it, she was very rude and said that she had measured out the meat which was not true as we have had that sub numerous times with adequate meat from other locations. The owner proceeded to argue about it and claimed she did us a favor by adding a tiny bit of lettuce and the smallest tomato slices for no charge. We decided to just leave the remaining sub and chilli soup (weird name for a very disappointing chilli). It was actually somewhat entertaining listening to her mumble and complain about us as she was working behind the counter. It was also a good teaching opportunity for our kids to show how you do not treat people in the service industry. I went today for lunch, absolutely disgusting environment, my friend and I went to use the fountain pop machine and the pop machine has actual mold hanging off of it…. We asked for refund and the employees when showed the mess did not seem to care and gave us a cash refund, Pop machine is sat in a dried up liquid mess on the counter that looks weeks old, there is a random keurig on the counter beside the pop machine that’s container for water is so cloudy it probably hasn’t been cleaned in months. There is a weird smell when you walk in, not of cheese or bread but it just smells musty? We left with our food and could not even stomach eating it with the idea of “what else are they not cleaning???” So we tossed out our almost $30 order…. We should have honestly went and gotten a refund for it but there was no point in ever going back there.
