For those of you who don’t read the entire reviews. Chick n Flame Dave’s Hot Chicken Popeyes
In this order of preferences for chicken sandwiches.
Although you could probably swap Dave’s and Popeyes depending on how you feel. But Chick n Flame definitely #1. I just have to warn you, don’t get the high spice if you’re not into ghost peppers.
It was a Saturday and I was taking my son to try yet another chicken sandwich place. We showed up to Chick n Flame at 11:45 hoping to beat the rush. It’s not open until noon 😂.
We waited until noon and walked into a very clean looking place, seems sparse as there was no pictures on the walls even.
The helpful person walked us through the menu. The specials for 2 burgers were unusually inexpensive and I asked her why. Those specials have 1/3 the chicken in them. So I wanted to try both the regular and also ordered the specials with less chicken.
Upon receiving them you couldn’t tell there was any difference at all as everything else was the same. But you will once you bit into them as you can see the different thickness. Both were delicious but definitely the regular is the way to go.
The insides were filled with some slaw and pickles and lots of sauce, just like their advertisement. Simply divine.
The Cajun fries tasted just like the Arby’s curly fries except they were much more crispy.
The coleslaw we received was super refreshing and not doused with dressing. An excellent choice.
When I went with the special burgers there were two and I got one with medium spice and one with high. So I ate the “high level” one first. It was awesome and I thought that I should have had them both at high. But upon one bite into the “medium”, I figured out they had mislabelled the sandwiches in the wrong boxes. It was so spicy I was drenched in sweat. My eyes teared up and I couldn’t talk for a few moments. Definitely not for me, that level of spice was crazy.
Anyways, currently when I think of having a spicy chicken sandwich, Chick n Flames is for me. At “medium” spice...
Read moreChick N Flames is a culinary gem that serves up a Nashville chicken sandwich combo that is nothing short of perfection. Bonus points for being halal. The Cajun fries are a standout, boasting a crispy exterior that gives way to a fluffy interior, each fry seasoned with just the right amount of spice to tantalize the taste buds without overwhelming them.
The star of the show, however, is the classic Nashville chicken sandwich. The chicken is cooked to a golden-brown crisp, enveloping juicy, tender meat that falls apart with each bite. The dry spice blend used is a secret mix of heat and flavor, striking a delicate balance that is hard to find outside of Nashville itself.
What truly sets Chick N Flames apart is their attention to detail. The inclusion of a small cup of ketchup, perfect for dipping, shows their commitment to customer satisfaction. It's these thoughtful touches that elevate the dining experience from good to great.
In summary, Chick N Flames delivers an authentic Nashville flavor that is expertly crafted and served with a side of Southern hospitality. It's a must-visit for anyone craving a spicy kick paired with comfort food classics. Highly...
Read moreStaff, specifically the gentleman who was taking orders was extremely rude. Additionally, they intentionally messed up the food order--the gentleman repeated the order back a couple times, made it extremely clear that he understood the order, but proceeded to prepare the order incorrectly. Ordered the chicken sandwich combo with fries, with no coleslaw on the sandwich, medium heat. Sandwich was made with coleslaw, and was spicy. I had eaten here several times prior, and the spice level was equivalent to their spiciest option. Given how rude the gentleman had been, and the fact that he repeated they should not add coleslaw multiple times it seems clear that this was intentional. Not sure if the gentleman was just having a really bad day, or if there was something that made him want to be hostile but whatever it is, I won't be eating here again.
The food overall is tasty for the most part, but given my experiences with this gentleman I would not feel comfortable allowing them to prepare food...
