Blown away by this little Korean BBQ restaurant! I was skeptical by the other reviews but I’m so satisfied with my experience here! I cannot believe this restaurant has been serving the Edmonton community since 1990! This is a honest, authentic, humble little restaurant that I stumbled upon recently and if I can give them more stars I definitely would! Here’s why! 🌟True to the basics! In KBBQ culture it’s important to have good quality ingredients. Their meat is seasoned well, not over seasoned and the cuts were beautiful. The pork belly slices were well portioned between fat and meat. They bring oil and flavour to the grill! My favourite was the squid (not common anywhere else?) 🦑 👌All you can eat! Truly means all inclusive! With soft drinks, selection of hot food and yummy desserts! No hidden fees, it’s simple and no fuss. When you go in, you start eating! 90 mins is plenty of time to eat till you’re stuffed. Like other all you can eat places, this restaurant makes sure customers don’t waste food with their food waste fee (only applied if you are not responsible with your plate)! ❤️Atmosphere and Culture. From the Korean decor and homely atmosphere to the actual KBBQ grilling experience, it made me feel like I wasn’t in Edmonton freezing in the middle of winter. They lasted from 1990 until now for a reason! They are doing an amazing job creating an amazing dining experience. Please visit and support this little hidden gem in our city and give them an amazing review. The owner is so kind and I can feel the love and care they’ve given to this place. I’m so proud of the owner and staff for this wonderful restaurant they’ve created. I look forward to returning next time! 🥰

It's a hidden gem in Edmonton. I was a bit worried by the negative one-star reviews, but it was honestly such a nice experience. The restaurant has such a homey feel, it feels as though you're being transported to Korea! The AYCE had 9 selections of meats/seafood to choose from which was more than enough. It was very clean, and the owner would make sure to switch out our grill once it got all burnt up. We went on a Tuesday evening, and it was moderately busy, but cozy. There were a couple of tables that had people who arrived before us and the owner wasn't strict with the time limits. I saw a couple of reviews that mentioned the time limit, I'm assuming they've never been to an all-you-can-eat because it's a standard?? On that note, they have a soda machine which means unlimited drinks, and they include free ice cream! Both the mango and strawberry ice cream was to die for; they were creamy and weren't overpoweringly sweet! I preferred the strawberry one though! All in all, I think it's a great date spot! Go on a weekday for fewer people and the best service, make sure you salt and pepper your meats as well, and enjoy!

If you want to get rip off and food poisoning this is the place to go, it's a 2 for 1 guaranteed!!!! -Poor quality of meat, the meat seasoning is less then average, they probably use the seasoning to hide the taste of the meat that have been out on the counter for to long. The kimchi was way too fermented, their sauce tasted like they were passed due. They can't even cook rice properly. Their spring roll is like chewing a raw garlic clove. -Everything have a wax taste to it, since they use a wax sheet over the grill instead of using regular oil like any other place in town. -NOTHING from this place justify the 37$ per person. Not the food, not the service, not even the location! Not to mention, as soon as I started complaining that their food and over pricing the lady litterly turned her back and left. Even tho I was very calm...its VERY UNPROFFESSIONAL!!! Never again!!! Might as well go on 97 for better quality and variety.

I’m surprised, and that isn’t easy to do.

Not sure how we found this place as it was farther away then we normally travel from our hotel. But we did and I’m glad.

First, when we walked in… I noticed that one lady was basically running the front-of-the-house (seating guests, setting up the tables, cleaning tables, bringing out food, taking payments, and being nice and welcoming to everyone. To be honest, the place is a small restaurant with only a dozen or more tables… but too much for one person. She did it.

Second, place is clean. Amazingly so for an all-you-can-eat place. Usually they are very dirty because of the volume of food and people moving around. Self serve usually ends up in messy floors, dirty serving stations and somewhat disappointing washrooms… but not this place. They have it very organized. I wouldn’t eat off the floor, but that’s because it snowed out and there was dirt and water tracked in. Otherwise the place was amazing.

Third, the food was tasty and well presented. The table side bbq station was clean and the paper they cover it with allows them to regularly switch out the paper to give a fresh surface without having to scrub the cast iron grill (it stayed clean).

I said to the lady that she is amazing because she was able to handle the busy restaurant on her own and keep it running smoothly. Yes there are people in the back doing food prep, but she was magnificent in how she managed everything. She actually apologized because she gave her other staff the night off due to Boxing Day and Christmas. What a wonderful person.

Anyway, if you want to have a friendly dining experience in a clean restaurant, with tasty food and a very reasonable price….

Do yourself a favour and find this place. It is a little hidden away, but it is worth the adventure to dine here.

This is a place I’ll add to my list of “come back when I’m in Edmonton again!”

My thanks to the hostess— who turned out to be an owner!

Updated May 14, 2023:

We came back to Edmonton and had to stop in here again (it was so good last time we were here months ago).

It is still amazing.

Food is fresh. Crazy fresh. Marinated meats are incredible with flavours and so tender.

Dipping sauces are also on point. They are packed with taste and go so well with the food.

Hostess was on her own again in the front-of-house due to staff shortage, but somehow she keeps a full restaurant running smoothly by herself.

I really recommend this place. If I could give 6 stars, I would for sure.

(Price is very reasonable, as everything is included… even the parking)

There are some negative reviews here that talk about no taste and burning themselves. I’m sorry to hear people got hurt, however, with a little care… that shouldn’t happen. As for taste…. Don’t get it. Strong flavours are amazing here. Maybe a covid recovery taste loss? Come back again in a few months and try again?

Anyway 6 out of 5 stars from me. For...

If I could give 0 star I will, the only time I DIDNOT tip a restaurant ever, both of us had really bad diarrhea for the whole night and that's not only the problem, the worst part of the female owner was so rushing us to leave even though our time was not finished till the end and my husband was still hungry, she also warned us in the very beginning said "are you guys sure you can finish all the meat on the table? We have a penalty of $30 if any leftover presented also you only have 90 mins to eat ". I just wanted to say if you can't afford to open a AYCE restaurant just shut it down and retire, pls don't ruin people 'day by providing no quality costumer services and been so rude and racist. Other tables came the same time with us , she DIDNOT say a word or anything to them offensively we DIDNOT waste a single piece of food by the end of our dinner time before we were told to go and couldn't allow to get more food from the open bar. Very disappointed experience, will never go back again also will post on all the social media platforms as well tell all my friends about it to spread it. Good luck to you the cheap owner. More reply to the owner' response: it was not my first time been to your restaurant, I always bring friends and family to support your business (used be,won't do it anymore), the female waitress which is the owner USED to be nice and greeting , even some small chat all the time, I don't know exactly what happened to her and her business, but i know the samilier situation happened to one of my friend to another restaurant in Edmonton and not long after the restaurant just shut down and out of Business completely. Hopefully this won't happen to you ,even though I won't go and eat again. Well, I Hopefully the only business that u relying on to survive will last till you retire, but pls don't be racist and treating people differently in...
