Cute new sushi spot in a residential house. Unfortunately falls a bit flat. We ordered Yam Fries, veggie tempura, unagi roll, crunchy shrimp tempura roll, and the Philadelphia roll. Rolls are regular sushi prices, around $15 each, but are half the size of other sushi places. For some reason the Philadelphia roll had unagi sauce on top and had very thin salmon on top. The crunchy shrimp roll had too much sauce. The rolls weren't cut well and stuck together, making the sushi fall apart. They tried fun new things like beets in the unagi roll but the flavor wasn't really a good combo. The yam fries also didn't say they would be battered in tempura so we ended up having double tempura. The spicy mayo sauce with the fries was good though. The avocado shake and passion fruit ade were both delicious! And we were given a free tofu salad for ordering over $40, and the salad was nice and light. They never gave us plates to share the food, which is standard practice at sushi restaurants. The tempura sauce should also be served in a bigger side dish so it's easier to dip. Overall, if the sushi was cheaper ($8-$10), then the size and amount of fish wouldn't be as much of a problem. We spent more than we normally do at a sushi restaurant and got less. Service was just ok. Could have been more efficient. And they need to go easy on the sauces. Since it's Korean run, maybe the Korean dishes are a better bet to try. But we aren't interested in coming back.

Very honest review: Went to try out this place since I’ve heard good things about it. However, was a horrible experience. Horrible service: our server not only did not know anything about the menu, she was also very rude! Never checked up on us, we didn’t even get our water refilled. Our food came out, and I asked for extra cutleries to share with my partner - instead of she went and did something else - kept us waiting again… We usually are big tippers, however, we left unsatisfied so did not really tip. Our server got even ruder afterwards, she gave us so much attitude. Server name on our receipt. To be fair, the other server that seemed to be more experienced (with wavy hair and glasses) was much nicer. Wish we had her instead. Food/Drinks - Felt it was priced too high for the overall portion. Recommend their Crazy Picnic Roll, tasted great. Downside, Very little bulgogi for almost $20 price tag. Great portions. Matcha latte contained small amounts of matcha, not the greatest but not bad. Interior was gorgeous. Didn’t give it 1 star because there’s a lot of potential.

Sushi Cafe Madang is such a gem! The place is super cozy and homey (literally 😆) —perfect for a chill evening with friends. When we walked in, we were greeted right away with smiles and warmth. They even gave us the choice of sitting upstairs or downstairs, since its a weekday and i believe a not so busy evening for them. We ended up choosing for a spot upstairs, and it felt like our own little private corner. Food is seriously good stuff and the prices are at a reasonable price. We ordered a mix of rolls and chicken-beef curry rice, and everything was just spot-on and served in huge servings. And lastly they have a backyard! We couldn't enjoy when we went there last month, but we're definitely looking forward to coming back in summer and soaking up the sunshine while having some sushi.

I went there today and ordered a Matcha Latte and the Spicy Seafood Ramen. It was very good! The matcha was some of the best I’ve had and for 6$ it is a fair price given how expensive matcha can get. It looks small, but the mug is very large and holds a lot. The ramen was a bit too spicy for me personally, but the taste was perfect. If it weren’t for my runny nose from the spice I would have happily finished all of it. However, I took it out to go after my meal, so I did not waste any food. $16 is a bit pricy for ramen, but there was an array of seafood and a very large portion. The wait wasn’t too bad, but I wish the server had come to check in once I had received my meal more. I also had to wave for the bill, though it didn’t seem very busy. The atmosphere was very nice, even on a cloudy day. I ate in a secluded corner of the restaurant and it was very cozy. Overall a very good local experience, I hope to go again to...
