Chop Chop Restaurant — Restaurant in Edmonton

Great serving size, incredibly bland. Honestly what is it with this city and underseasoned food.

Edit: I'm sorry but who is reviewing these restaurants? I swear I don't think any salt was even used in my meal. How they got any color on it in the first place is what's most impressive about this meal. Looking at the pics, I knew it was gonna be a risk after seeing that fried rice. Clearly seasoning isn't a priority.

Edit: gave this place a second shot. Definitely used salt this time around. That's about it though. Honestly, something tells me they just fried some noodles in soy sauce.

I thought of throwing it in a pot and seasoning it myself but that'd defeat the purpose of delivering. Not just that, the noodles are so soft it'd probably just fall apart if I added any more heat.

Don't know why I keep hoping for decent food...

It was our first time trying at this restaurant and wow.. amazing food. Our family owned a Chinese restaurant before so we can judge whether the chef is good at their job or not. We ordered the peach shrimp, cailan with garlic, Basa filled, Shanghai noodle and egg fried rice and we were so impressed. It is not an ordinary Western Chinese restaurant. Their pricing is extremely reasonable, yet they have a special promo that makes everything even cheaper.

We couldn't believe it took us this long to try this restaurant. Highly recommend it to anyone. Too bad the food was so good that we polished them before remembering to take photos...

Got the BOGO Chicken Shanghai Noodles and the Beef with Bean Sprouts Chow Mein.

I was about to not order because of all the recent low reviews but I’m incredibly confused as to why everyone is so hard on this place. I’m so glad I took the gamble. It hit the spot and it was huge portions.

To everyone being so hard on these guys, maybe reevaluate your expectations - This is chinese takeout. And it’s great chinese take out. It checked all the boxes. Flavour? check. Portions? check. Repeat? check.

The only thing I would want in the future is plastic bags around the packaging as it came leaking.
