I love Tim Hortons. I go all the time and have visited nearly every Tim Hortons in the city. This timmies, in my experience, has some of the strangest practices.
In the drive thru, if you speak to a specific woman who works there, she will tell you to wait where you ordered your food no matter what you ordered. She will often claim that she is checking if something is in stock, and then leave you sitting there for minutes. Both my partner and I have gotten comments for driving forward after being left sitting there in silence for minutes. I have had the experience where drivers who arrived after me in the other lane were told to move forward before I was.
I believe that this Tim Hortons is manufacturing how long it takes to complete each order by having people wait to come to the window until their order is done. Which isn’t necessarily a problem in and of itself to me, but when I am being told to wait and let others pass or when I “get into trouble” for driving forward before I’ve been told, I do have a problem with that. The woman who tells people to wait will get angry and complain about the customers audibly while they are sitting at the window (which I heard today). Today I ordered a sandwich and was told twice to wait at the ordering screen. When I pulled ahead I was told it was a hassle for the workers. I do not understand this as it is how every other driver thru in the city operates.
I am wholly unimpressed with these particular staff members working at this Tim Hortons. This is my first negative review, and I never thought...
Read moreNo wonder this location is sitting at 3.5. I had the worst experience. I ordered grilled chicken wrap around 8 PM ( repeated 3 times at DT and 3 times before paying at the window) and they still gave me crispy chicken. They said they dont have grilled chicken anymore but slow-cooked. I went back and told them its not crispy, the guy names Jo Jo ( or Jay Jay) was at the DT window. I told him the situation and he said they dont have slow-cooked ( they didnt cook or maybe done for the day for slowed chicken). I told him they could have told me before charging me so I could go somewhere else. I requested for the refund. Without apology, he asked me to show how much I ate ( I ate only quarter of it) and without even seeing the wrap he said you ate half of it ( For reference: please the drive thru camera) I had two bites only and how else I would know its crispy chicken. He literally started talking to co-worker in different language and started showing the wrap and made fun which I would not take. Standard of tim hortons services has gone so low and I would never come back to...
Read moreThe morning drive-thru crew is great; however, the evening crew is horrible. On more than one occasion that I have stopped by the experience has been sub-par. One of the employees (curly/messy hair) has "helped" a few times when I opted for going inside instead of using the drive-thru, that person was cleaning and then used the register, took my order, grabbed food all this while wearing the gloves he was wearing to clean. I had to asked him to remove the gloves, wash his hands, and get me a new donut. He didn't take it well.
UPDATE (dropping to 1 star): Just a bunch of incompetent people working here. How difficult is it to add the proper amount of butter or cream cheese to a bagel? how hard is it to cut a bagel? if the bagel is burn WHY give it to the customer - just make a new one. There has been several occasions when I got a burnt bagel at the drive-thru and only found out when I got to my destination. The coffee sometimes is old and simply gross. We are wasting our money at this location. Whoever the Franchise owner is needs...
