(Dec., 2022) I recently visited Edmonton and went to the North Chuck E. Cheese location. Since I was visiting Edmonton for the day and still had points on my Play Band, I decided to visit the South location right after. This location looks bigger and has a different layout. It was evening by the time I got here and it wasn't nearly as busy as the North location. As I had just eaten a pizza at the North location only about an hour earlier, I didn't order much at the South location except for some water. As with the other Chuck E. Cheese locations I've visited, the staff were friendly here and the place was very clean. I used the Photo Booth machine and played some Mario Kart. After using the Photo Booth a couple times, I noticed Chuck E. was standing behind me near the Photo Booth and I said hi. I'll likely visit this location again someday because I want to play that Mario Kart game again. I also noticed this location has Jumbo-sized Cotton Candy, which looked good so I'll be sure to get some of that when I visit this location again. Edit (Aug., 2024): I'm updating my review because I recently returned to this location. There are some new things here since I visited in 2022. Got a pepperoni pizza and some Gumball Plushies. Played some Mario Kart and other games. It was really busy, but still fun. Noticed the new Trampoline, too. Liked the entertainment, such as the Chuck E. Bop and DJ Munch remixes of old songs. Also saw Chuck E. and got a picture with him.

A solid 1. The games are fine, but we had issues with them not printing tickets. Problem was that I was using a timed card and it took forever for them to come. I spoke with one person who said they would be right there, but their manager sent them somewhere else. I asked someone else about it also and they radioed someone. But, no one came. I spoke to the first person again but he was now at front desk. I had to wait in line to talk to a manager... All the while my time was running out. After being bounced back and forth between 5 or 6 people numerous times I got the machine fixed, some other kid his tickets he missed. They gave me 10 tickets... Nothing to compensate my time or frustration. What's worse, I had it happen again but didn't want to waste more of my paid time. I don't think I'll be returning if I have a choice. Oh, the bathroom sinks just dribble water. You can hardly wash your hands. The picture is full blast.

We came to this Chuck E Cheese for the first time for a birthday party. Right off, we noticed how much cleaner this Chuck E Cheese was compared to our Calgary one. The space seems larger, too, as machines are nicely spaced out and feel less cramped. The staff here knew their way around birthday parties. They seem to have everything ready and pretty much gave people the summary and guide. They knew when to get pizzas ready and how to move from one event to the next and still leave enough time for kids to continue playing after. The pizzas were surprisingly decent for what you get. I ate a slice and enjoyed it more than some random pizza joints in the city. The kids all seemed happy, and only a couple of games were out of order. My kids loved this Chuck E Cheese and exclaimed that it was the best day ever. What else is there to say when the kids are happy.

We just had a birthday party there. It was ok. Felt very rushed.

I did get a phone call a week ahead to confirm people attending and what pizzas I would like. I did upsize my pizzas but that is the only change to the package I made.

When we got in Laiba was at front door and asked which kids birthday but she couldn't find it, they had it under the parents name for reservation. (Kids name should be beside since more parents will probably say that's the party).

Our birthday host Laiba did review the amount of kids and adults coming again. Then the flavours of pizza. She asked my daughter what drinks she wanted but didn't give a list of what's available just to pick a pop or juice. And kept repeating "No pick a pop or juice to drink". So of course a 4 year old says chocolate milk or just the word pop since some don't know flavours. Perhaps having a list handy next time would be nice of what we can select.

The serving the kids part was nice. Laiba asked them what pizza and served them and filled up there cups when needed refilling. Though all my pizzas were stuffed crust and i never asked for that. The pizza flavours were reviewed at check in but not the crust selection. They had 15 mins to sit before chuck e cheese came out and sang a mass happy birthday to everyone. But as the kids were all at the show Laiba was lighting up the birthday candles and I told her not to we would wait. But she continued on and walked away. Of course my daughter comes to blow it out, but no one else except for maybe 2 friends from the party were there, birthday mom dad weren't at the table. So we lite up the candles again and sang happy birthday when everyone was around.

Then she came and stood beside me with a payment machine right away well I was trying to serve our guests. I did notice the extra charge for stuffed crust when i never ok'd that for the pizzas in the first place. Then wanted us to "please do the survey", I mentioned I would later. Then she came up 10 mins later "did you do the survey" and was peeking at my phone. No I did not later I will.

By the time presents were done we still had 30 mins left reserved. Parents were still eating pizza but Laiba just took the pizzas and put them in a to go box without asking if it was ok. 15 mins before my time was up I was asked to move because that's there designated clean up time. I did mention I paid till a certain time but she said it didn't work that way we had to move so she can clean for the next party. I did move before my reservation time was up and was in the place for an extra 2 hours and there was no other party. We could of easily left the table when the...

I went there today with my son who has Autism who is a young adult and there was only one other family there. I explained thatI would have to be communicated mostly for him. I enquired what would work the best since Im not sure since I havent been there for a few years because of covid. She talked me into buying the supposed special for $34.65 and explained I could pause it since we would be eating. She wasnt very forthcoming amd almost seemed like I was bo It is now more set up for more young kids and toddlers which I didnt know and she knew my son had challenges and I needed to help and speak for him. I walked through it with him and he found only a few games they really downsized. I also had to purchase a electronic band and it didnt always give you credit. So in less than 15 mins I went back and told her that there was nothing for him and since last time he was there in early 2020 on his birthhday things were not the same. She just looked at me as if so what. I then placed the pizza order and asked a few other menu questions and she had to check and still didnt give me an answer to help with my decision and it seemed I was bothering her by asking I was even trying to google not to bother her and see if I could find the answers myself. My son sat on a table close to the birthday tables but not at the birthday tables. He was used to that area from before. As we were eating this same older lady came over and demanded us to move since that was restricted. At the same time chuck e cheese came by didnt engage with my son just placed a candy on our table and left. I was on an important call when she rudely interrupted. Hello lady show at least some compassion and decorum since my son didnt have to hear that all and he didn't know. I wont ever go there again and the 1 star was for the pizza. I would suggest paying that amount at Boston Pizza and going elsewhere. Im on a strict budget and this outing which was important to my son ended up...

Horrible!! The new staff working till was amazing! Then came another lady to “help” her. Neither one explained that they closed at 9pm we got a total of 5 game minute cards of 60 minutes per card (one being a watch) since you can’t split a card and we have 3 kids! So with the added 30 minutes of game play we ended up with 90 per card. So we waited to swipe the last card (which the cashiers heard us talk about doing) we arrived a few minutes before 7:30pm! A different staff member came and let us know at 8:56pm that they were closing and we needed to do our tickets. I explained to her that no one mentioned they closed at 9pm and we had 80 minutes of game time still. She said we don’t offer refunds and there’s nothing she can do!! I said we can’t pause it and come back? She said no. We spent $200+ there again for the second time in two weeks which was a treat for our kids as we haven’t been since before covid. So we pretty much lost a whole card because I thought they had closed at 10pm for some reason. So frustrating! Also went to get the salad bar and was disgusted to learn that they were simply going to throw out the salad bar that night because it’s on its second day and no longer good! The salad bar was completely full!! I mean the lettuce was horrible (I guess I should have taken a picture).. but I’m sure there are a LOT of less fortunate people that would LOVE that food!!! Realizing now how disgusting it is.. sad we came back after covid because my kids had no idea what they were missing. My oldest is 13 and most of his first few birthdays were there so really sad to see that you can fork out so much money and they can’t even offer anything! Bring back the coins!! These stupid cards are probably the reason there hasn’t been anyone else there both times we have gone! One Thursday night and one Friday night! Such a disappointment.. was nice coming back but now...
