Service is good, lots of refreshments and kind of a grab and go style for cutlery and drinks.
But the kicker is the food, got the brisket with 2 sides of mac and cheese and a loaded baked potato. Meat was okay? Cold more than warm kind of like a thick piece of moist beef jerky. Mac and cheese was decent but was cold, and than the baked potato came with all the toppings and literally frozen it was just a pre baked potato and cold toppings, yes sour cream is cold (it would be a problem if it wasnât) but yet the cheese and beef was room temperature (maybe from the sour cream?) but the shredded cheese was not melted at all.
1 really good thing I liked that made the meal good was the spicy bbq sauce thatâs whatâs saving this 1 star review. Along with the meal though the checkered black and white paper that they put on the tray that your food sits on RIPS AND TEARS really easily in result constantly picking out small pieces of paper out of each bite.
Thought I found a little Texas in north Edmonton but was highly disappointed in the food. The vibe and atmosphere along with design is good though. But Iâm going for food not...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Dickey's Barbecue Pit, the atmosphere at Dickey's is warm and inviting. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and a welcoming attitude. The staff at Dickey's were attentive and eager to help, providing excellent service throughout our visit. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, making us feel like valued guests. The highlight of our visit was, of course, the food. Dickey's Barbecue Pit did not disappoint. We started with the smoked brisket, which was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The smoky aroma was irresistible, and each bite was a delight. The ribs were equally impressive, with a perfect balance of smokiness and tangy barbecue sauce. The sides were just as delicious. For the quality and quantity of food we received, the prices at Dickey's are very reasonable. The portion sizes were generous, and we left feeling satisfied and well-fed. The value for money is excellent, making it a great option for families and groups. I highly recommend Dickey's to anyone looking for top-notch barbecue and...
Read moreBrisket has good taste, even better with the bbq sauce and melts in your mouth Turkey seems seasoned from the surface only, but not dry at all very moist. Chicken was also moist, nice seasoning on the surface. Sausage was a little spicy, beautifully smoky. The bun was actually a slice of white bread with butter, took one bite and it went to the bin. Bread was comparable to your store bought, maybe worse. Caesar salad had no dressing and the croutons were soft, more like soggy toast. Came with some nice shredded Parmesan cheese though.
In terms of portions: in the three meat combo I got about 4-5 slices of brisket, 1-2 sausages (sliced), 3 pieces of sliced chicken, 2 slices of turkey. Approx 1.5 cups worth of Caesar salad, and about the same amount of fries.
Service was friendly and prompt. Clean store. They were out of chicken when I ordered, but due to the wait time they gave me some once it was ready.
Overall would go back, but Iâd probably buy the meat only (or meat and fries) and keep my own sides...
