Visit: April 2025 (2 days after last review) So good, I had to bring a different friend and visit again! We got the beef curry and teppanyaki chicken. We were both full and satisfied, with leftovers to bring back!
Visit: April 2025 (BUMPED RATING FROM 4 TO 5 STARS)
It's been a year since my last visit. I really appreciate that they ended up switching to reusable dishes (which were also really nice and unique dishes). I hope my review last year contributed to that!
My friends and I came to est and hangout. We ordered the Unagi don, Teppanyaki Chicken Don, and Beef Curry. All of the dishes were amazing, and HUGE. The food quality and price to quantity was exceptional and exceeded our expectations (we weren't sure if anything had changed since last year).
The Chicken Teppanyaki was our favorite, and I loved how the chicken was really juicy and the skin had a nice crisp to it. The beef curry wss excellent as well, with the beef being extremely tender. The unagi don was also excellent snd worked well with the egg. It was large portions and the Unagi tasted great!
The chef, who also manages the restaurant, was extremely kind and patient, and always came back to fill our waters. He was really welcoming and accommodating, and allowed us to stay there while we chat and ate food for 5 hours. He seemed thrilled to have us stay, which was amazing.
Definitely highly recommend this place. They deserve a lot of customers, and they are definitely on my recommended list

Visited with my friends and the food was great for the price! We were all very full after the meal, as the portion sizes were really big! Definitely the unagi don and the curry katsu don were the best out of what we ordered!
The service was also great and employees were really kind.
The only thing I wished that was better was the dine-in experience was better. Everything was served in plastic bowls, cups, and utensils. I wish they were served in proper dine-in dishes, as it would have added to the experience and also...
Read moreEdit. Unfortunately the last 2 times we've ordered have been disappointng. The udon noodles were overcooked, the curry was lacking the flavors from before and was very very watered down. The pork wasn't very flavorful. I got some dish that had pork , egg and rice and the bowl was basically all rice, very little onion, very little mushroom. Its a shame because we had loved our first few times trying :(
My boyfriend is incredibly picky and a bit of a food snob..He told me to order something for dinner while he napped and decided to give this place a try. After many bad experiences with Japanese curry dishes, he was less then impressed when he woke up and I told him we'd be having some curry soon.
Wellll thankfully this was an amazing surprise for him. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the curry is rich without being too spicy. The flavor profile is wonderfully balanced ....we've since ordered twice since. Debating even getting some today again. I haven't ate inside the restaurant, but when I went to pick up it looked clean , cozy and...
Read moreIt was 10pm on a Thursday and I was located at the YEG airport. I called to make sure there would be time for a pick up order. The sweet lady on the phone said that last call was at 10:30pm, so I started heading that direction. On the way there I realized that I wouldn’t get there until 10:45ish so I called back and thankfully they took my order. I got the fried salmon head, chicken curry with rice and a miso ramen. The salmon head was to die for and I only wish I could’ve ordered another after I was finished. The chicken curry was perfect texture, not too thick and not too watery and had a great flavour with the potato and carrots. The miso ramen broth was sweet and savoury. Well if you ever take noodles out, you know what happens, the noodles shape the bottom of the bowl and take to that shape. It’s not this places fault tho, that’s just the way it goes. Overall this place was a great experience from the service to the food quality, and I even debated on...
