Went for the crab boil and Friday night specials. The crab boil was good and had a nice variety of crab legs, half a corn on the cob, some mussels, and sausage along with a melted butter dip. For $30 it was filling but not but the greatest bang for you buck. Extra Legs were another $25 which was little much for a “deal night”. Appies were tasty! One downside to the whole experience was our waiter(Nicole), I’ve gotten bad service before but have never been actually mistreated. Embarrassing for her to have thrown a mini tantrum at our table after we paid(involved collecting dishes so they clattered loudly and threw a napkin into a bowl so roughly it bounced out and almost fell on me… also no bid farewell at all after we paid and left). It was my first time here too, I’ll give it another go but hopefully with a waiter that makes it a good experience. Edit May: came back for the Friday deal and everything was pretty good. Most impressed with the waitress I had this time, I forgot her name since it was a little while ago but she was sooo sweet and we managed to have her rig before her shift ended! Edit Dec 2022: Booked a crab feast and was seated at a table that was a little too small to fit everything on it, but there was a ledge beside us so I just put my water and phone there. Service was pleasant but a little slow which is totally understandable with it being Friday night. Crab boil was not much of “deal” but enjoyable. Appies were a good deal but I noticed the portions were smaller especially the calamari. A bed of greens was under the calamari to masks it look like a pile of calamari when there were only a few pieces on the outer surface. Experience was so-so but the Friday deal was good so I’ll keep coming back for that! Also changing this from 2 to 3 stars :)

Thank you to all the staff, manager and owner for allowing me in the bar on Friday July 12. I did not know they had a dress code. Which in my opinion is a little silly, my sleeveless arms are no different than all the chicks that were in there too.... BUT yes I do understand 100% on some outfits. I couldn't of been more happy that I made the call to the manager inside and he came and saw my fit and said I was good to go! Thank you so much guys! To be fair it was a dress shirt, was just to dang hot to rip it on the dance floor in sleeves lol. By far my favorite bar in the city. Crowd is always great. Bands are usually on point. Been here many times and will always continue to. But please!! Maybe reconsider some of the strict dress codes you have, because sadly I won't be able to visit again on another hot night with out sleeves. All my outfits are always classy. Sleeveless or not. Also no different then almost every girl in there last night. Even had girls agreeing with me at the doors! See you next weekend ;)

On The Rocks is always a great choice when you’re looking for a lively night out. The food is consistently delicious, served hot, and comes out quickly. Their menu has a wide range of options, and everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the evening feel relaxed and easy. What really makes this spot stand out is the atmosphere…the music, energy, and crowd all create a fun vibe that keeps you wanting to stay longer. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get, making it an easy pick for both casual nights out and celebrations. Definitely a place I’d recommend and return to.

Usually, OTR is a good establishment, I've been coming here for over 10 years. But over the years it seems the quality has deteriorated. Tonight was no exception and, quite quite frankly, my final straw. We sat ourselves down at a table as the sign at the entrance suggested, and after 20 minutes on an empty bar, we had to go find our server.

The specialty drinks were subpar at best, with the black lemonade being compared to dishsoap with a touch of sadness, the pineapple margarita being, "well they tried" and the cloud 9 being the only half decent cocktail on their menu from what our table ordered.

The wings were a nice surprise as they were crispy and full of flavor. The poutine was also really good.

We were brought drinks that we didn't come close to ordering, and there were always missed items it seemed every round.

When it came to paying our bills our server messed up my bill 3 separate times as well as several times with others at the table. I only put them to blame partially as she was the only server for the entire restaurant from what I could tell, and if that was so then management had dropped the ball royally.

All in all, OTR has always held a special place in my heart, a place I drank in my late teenage years and early 20s and picked up single mom's on salsa night. Unfortunately after tonight I don't think I'll be back or able to really recommend it to anyone else as there isn't an excuse...

My best friend and I decided to go to on the rocks since it was a place my mother liked going to before she died and I had never been. I had the worst experience I've ever had at a bar/club ever.

It was extremely gross and way tooany people. You could barely move. The girls washrooms were disgusting and also impossible to move through.

The worst part of the night was when we waited for almost 20 minutes for a drink and a guy pushed himself to the front of the line saying that he just wanted to talk to his cousin and he wasn't skipping to the front. A brunette woman came and took his order fairly quickly and when I complained she said "this is my friend" I said that's insane because I've been waiting for so long she said that if I was allowed in the back we would be friends too and they continued to mock me and laugh in my face. The other bartender continued to serve the people around us until one of the other people was like "no actually they were before us serve them dude".

While waiting I also had a guy fully grab my ass without my consent and when I pointed him out to a bouncer he shrugged it off and said "it's packed in here" So it's disgusting, annoyingly busy, and has horrible service. It gives off old Knoxville vibes with a crowd of 30-50 year olds and I will not...
