I have ordered from this location on 3 occasions since they opened. Each time the quality and quantity has diminished. Last Wednesday was the Sumo Size deal, so I ordered the sukiyaki beef with rice and vegetables, and asked for the 3 sauces to all be on the side. My first visit there was hardly any sauce, and the second time it was swimming in sauce, which is why I asked for it to all won the side. This wasn’t a complicated order.
I live less the 5 minutes from the restaurant. Despite the fact that I literally live across the street, my food was cold by the time I got home. I then found that they had already put some sauce on my food and then put rest into 2 containers in the bag. If it had all been on my food then it would suggest that they didn’t realize their mistake. Since some was on the side, they obviously realized that they screwed up. Instead of being honest and admitting their mistake, they just packed it up like nothing was wrong. I understand that mistakes happen, but trying to hide it is not okay. The right thing to do would have been to tell me what happened and then offering to make a new dish or discounting the one the messed up on. If that wasn’t bad enough, my order was mainly rice. There was not even the same amount of vegetables you get in the regular size. 2/3rds of the container was rice with a sparse layer of vegetables just enough to hide it. It had the same amount of meat as a regular size. Basically I paid extra for nothing, not even a regular sized order. I understand now why the restaurant was completely empty the last 2 visits. Read moreBest experience EVER at and Edo. I visited Edo in the Grange tonight and upon entering not one but all staff greeted me. That included 2 food counter attentants and 4 cooks. Six people took the 2 seconds it took to smile and say hello. I couldn't wait to order. Once I got to the register the gentleman kindly took my order, offered double beef and quickly and efficiently took payment. We even laughed after because he kept track and the entire process took 42 seconds.
The atmosphere is welcoming and clean and I was there at 545. Even though we could order and have this delivered it's so close it makes sense to go and pick it up because it's just such an amazing pleasure to enter the store. Well done to the franchise owner, you have chosen...
Read moreAfter several years of supporting this Edo, I was shocked as to what happened. I ordered 4 meals and 4 drinks through the app and prepaid. Upon picking up the order they said I owed 25 cents for a bag to carry all this out. I forgot my wallet and phone and had no change to pay. I asked if I could pay next time as they see me there regularly. . . but she said "no". She suggested I stack all 4 drinks and 4 meals and forks and napkins and sauces - and walk across the parking lot without dropping them. Thankfully, an amazing customer reached out and paid 25 cents for me. Needless to say, I won't be returning. The owner also owns the Hamptons/Edgemont location. And by the way, the portions barely fill half the container....
