I will NEVER return to this Pizza 73 nor will I return to ANY Pizza 73 location due to how I was treated by a staff member at this location on 2020-8-20 at 10:45pm. I placed an order on the Pizza 73 app. This was my second order in the past week and it is my last - ever. I entered the store and saw a staff member in the food preparation area not wearing a mask. He disappeared behind a wall and came to the counter where I was standing now wearing a mask and did not say a word to me. I told him my name and that I was here to pickup an online order. Immediately he told me that I would need to put on a mask or I could not pickup my prepaid order. Had my order not been prepaid on the app I would have walked out at that moment. I told him I was unable to wear a mask. He just looked at me so I reached into my wallet and showed him my City of Edmonton issued exemption card. He took it out of my hand and slowly read it as if he had never seen one before or heard about them in the media. Without saying anything he then handed me my pizza. Firstly, if he was so worried that I have the virus why would he take the card out of my hand and potentially contaminate himself. He was wearing gloves at the time - I wonder if those same gloves were used to make the next customer's pizza. The text is large enough on the exemption card that pretty much anyone would be able to read it at quite a distance. Secondly, he attempted to deny me my prepaid order based his "feeling" that I should be wearing a mask without asking if I might be exempt as outlined in the bylaw. Perhaps Pizza 73 would like me to bring my complete medical file from my doctor before I'm "allowed" to pickup my next order. This store and Pizza 73 may find themselves facing several Alberta Human Rights Commission complaints if this owner is allowed to continue to operate in this unprofessional manner. Clearly this person is either not familiar with the bylaw or doesn't care care and just says whatever he wants to customers. I really hope he is not an owner because this location will be bankrupt in the not so distant future with irresponsible management as evidenced by this and many of the other 1 star ratings on Google. I would really hope that based on all of the negative feedback that Pizza 73 would take some action to clean up the way this store treats their customers. At my business we consistently order enough pizza for 37 staff members one day each month and we have always ordered from Pizza 73. This one staff member's rude and illegal behaviour towards me will be changing where we order pizza from in the future. Sadly another Pizza 73 location will lose out on that business as my work orders were not fulfilled by this location, but Pizza 73 needs to realize that the actions of their staff have consequences for their entire network. The last thing I will comment on is the pathetic distribution of toppings, mainly the onion on the pizza I was given as evidenced on the picture I have attached to this review. One portion of the pizza is overwhelmed with onion while other pieces have one or two small pieces of onion on them. Obviously whomever made the pizza just threw it together and doesn't care. I would like think that if you're the corporate office of Pizza 73 that you'd take action to improve these issues with this location or take their franchise away from them so they stop damaging the Pizza 73 reputation. I'm sure nothing will happen based on this review, but if it warns one person and they can avoid this location then my job is done. I was a fan of Pizza 73 for many years, but now I'll never return. Don't just take my word for it - read all of the other reviews of pathetic service and product on here. We can't...
Read moreYour place of business has terrible customer service. After a glitch in your system caused a double order which for some reason no one questioned, I had a person call me from this store and literally scream at me 15 minutes after the driver left with the $82 dollar order ( he had another delivery and I kept getting disconnected from customer service) . When she phoned she asked me if I wanted that pizza, which I'd assume was cold by then. She told me it would be the full price of $41 and change. I declined, which is my right to do. She then proceeded to scream at me on the phone loud enough, the person sitting across my front room could hear it. She screamed at me because she had to throw out $82 worth of pizza and wings because of the glitch in pizza 73 website or ordering system or whatever. I can't imagine why anyone from the store should even be calling me directly. The first person I spoke to on the phone at the call center told me I didn't have to accept the order. Unfortunately the call center supervisor refused to give me a person to contact at the store to complain about this specific employee. As a 19 year customer of pizza 73 I'm very disappointed on how this was handled. The belligerent and disrespectful behaviour of this employee is absolutely disgusting as I never did anything wrong. Mistakes happen but I'm just the customer, it's not my problem. I'm sorry to say I will likely never order from pizza 73 again as this is my local store and I will refuse to spend my money somewhere that continues to employ somebody that treats customers this way. Thank you for the previous years of...
Read moreI came in here one late weekday night after ordering online, which first of all doesn’t give you an approximation of when your food will be ready so you’ll be stuck waiting when you get there.
While trying to be friendly and greet the employee he has his headphones in, looks at me, walks away. Comes back around 5 minutes later, throws my box of food on the counter, types in the debit machine, and leaves. In all honestly if it was anybody who was offended enough they could’ve just walked right out without paying. The employee was just so rude.
Another thing I don’t appreciate since I live in the area is the amount of times I’ve witnessed the dumb delivery drivers speeding down whitemud going 140 and almost crashing into people trying to make the turning light. Constantly texting, using maps, and driving. I reported it to the police already because it’s become ridiculous how often it happens.
If you’re in the area watch out for the mid 2000’s Grey Nissan Altima...
