I have loved Famoso from the 1st time it opened, and ordered faithfully for years from the West End location……..
Sadly now I am Disabled and cannot visit the restaurant, and due to the high cost of EVERYTHING, it is definitely only as a special occasion that I am willing to spare the expense.
Consistently, in the last 5-6 times that I have ordered, I have found that the toppings were so sparse and even in majority of the pieces of pizza, NON EXISTENT……….
I have ordered BBQ Chicken Pizza almost every time, and for a $31 pizza, barely 2 TBS of BBQ sauce were detectable. I have refrained from ordering extra as I feel that the extra cost is prohibitive but probably won’t even give me enough for a basic order.
I have read other comments and I sadly agree, that the pizza toppings are consistently sparse and unless I specifically specify that the crusts should not be burnt, will turn out to be Blackened enough to be bitter.
It is sad to say that I don’t think that I will ever order BBQ Chicken Pizza from ANY location, (as it has become the standard everywhere).
I discovered my love of BBQ Chicken Pizza here, but now only order it from other restaurants. It is a shame because the sweet smoky sauce that they began with has become etched in my heart and am constantly on the search for its replacement.
Another common complaint was that the pizza was cold and that has been true every time as well. It was disappointing enough that I hope that the restaurant will furnish us with a refund when I contact them tomorrow during...
Read moreOur last visit was terrible but we figured would give them one last try. Should have known better. They did not respond to my opentable comments the last time.
We came in for a quick pizza and mozza ball. We sat down and waited. Our order was taken and we waited. A few tables came in after we ordered. They got their food while we waited for the appetizer. Finally the appy arrived. we were asked if we wanted some parmesan cheese and we said we did. It never came. The appy was finished and we waited some more. 45 minutes after arriving, we still had not got our pizzas. Our server, who made her last stop with us, said they needed to time out the appies with the original order. We had been done for at least 5 minutes. Then we waited some more. The table that had come in after us, eaten and were getting their to-go box before our pizza arrived. I asked for cheese, which never came. we ate quickly because we had an appointment. After 15 minutes, i finally flagged someone down to get our bill and to speak to a manager. The manager arrived and offered me a coupon for the experience. I said that after this visit, and out last, we would not be coming back.
Paid the bill, with a discount offered and left.

Read moreMy sister and I were absolutely disgusted by the way staff, particularly the manager, handled a medical emergency in the women's washroom today. The server proceeded to serve food to a table of 3 next to us, AFTER a customer notified her that a girl was unconscious on the floor in a stall on the bathroom. While my sister was telling the server that someone needs to call EMS immediately, the manager proceeded to do the servers duties of packaging food to go for take out. At no point did he call 9-1-1. It wasn't until he saw my sister make the call that he then picked up his phone. I ran to the business next door to get an AED kit and my sister ran to Sobeys to get a naloxone kit. He proceeded to follow me into the women's washroom trying to stop me from exercising the Good Samaritans Act by saying verbal threats to me. Not only did he not take action and he also interfered with this young girl receiving any assistance. Management has a responsibility as leaders to behave in a way that reflects integrity. Shame on you. No one should be refused help over the interests of a...
