extremely unhappy and annoyed with the service we got today. my girlfriend ordered through uber eats, and we get here all the time. we ordered our usual pasta and we always put in the notes that we would like extra sauce on the pasta since it is not an option in the order creation section. it has NEVER been an issue, until today. we ordered and around 5 minutes after submitting the order my girlfriend got a call and it was amore pasta calling about the order saying that they charge 4$ each for extra sauce (x2 so 8$ total) but the issue was that they could only charge up to 5$ to her credit card, and asked how she would pay the remaining 3$. she then said can you charge the 5$ and just add the extra sauce? and he said absolutely not and that they couldn’t do that. which i have worked in the food industry, when a customer asks for something extra and there’s an issue like this, it is rarely a big deal to just put a little extra of what they’re asking for. so he continues to argue with her about this and then she says okay well i would like to cancel my order, he argues more about how she has to do it but when you cancel on uber they charge you, it wasn’t our fault that they couldn’t just add a little extra sauce so why should we have to pay to cancel it? it’s a simple fix. she called this location and told them to please cancel her uber eats order, told the person what the other associate had said and the person on the phone said yea that’s no issue we can add more sauce, but after the first call we were very upset and just wanted to order from somewhere else without being charged for their poor service. she told them she didn’t trust them to do her order properly and the person on the phone said oh my god and HUNG UP ON HER. this is extremely unprofessional and beyond unacceptable. we do not recommend ordering from this location. especially as...
Read moreSuper happy this exists in the neighborhood. When we want some legit pasta to go at a decent price we always come here. There are a ton of options to go with, including house made noodles, if you want to build your own mega pasta. They also have a bunch of pre-set pastas that, even though I've never tried one (I like creating my own), if have to go with guessing that they're also fantastic. Each serving should easily set you up to have lunch the next day as well. Don't bother with the Cesar salad. It's pretty much just lettuce and parmesan, but you're not here for that anyway. There are a few starters only available at the downtown restaurant (Cafe Amore? If it is it's this restaurants big brother, proper sit-in, recommended) that look delicious but you can't get them at those location. Regardless, highly recommended for a large, pseudo-quick serving of fantastic pasta. Would give 4.5 but, alas, it's at 5-star...
Read moreI had an excellent experience at Amore Pasta South and was surprised to see some negative reviews online because everything about my visit was great. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the person behind the till, who also prepared our food. Since it was my first time there, I had some questions about the menu, and I really appreciated the helpful recommendations.
Ordering was easy, and after just a short wait, our food was ready, hot, fresh, and exactly how I like it, with melted cheese on top. I had the spaghetti bolognese, and my friend ordered the shrimp pasta. We both agreed that our dishes were delicious, with a rustic, homemade taste.
The atmosphere was comfortable, and we were able to sit and enjoy our meal without feeling rushed, unlike some other places. From the warm welcome to the great service and flavorful food, it was an all-around fantastic experience. I’ll definitely be...
